With the New Year there was also a big event coming up. An elegant celebration of a large company. One of the heads of this company was a former Sorcerer. And because he didn't want any negativity at this event, he had asked Yaga for support. So here they were. And to make sure they would not attract attention as Sourcerers, they were provided with clothing so that they could pass as normal party guests. So Gojo, Kento, Takuma and y/n dressed up. Temporary changing rooms had been set up for them on a lower floor. The event took place in a modern skyscraper.

When y/n stepped out of her dressing room, Gojo was already finished. Grinning, she walked over to him and tugged at the tie that belonged to his suit. "My goodness, you really dressed up."

"You're wearing a dress," he noted and she saw his eyebrows furrowing under his sunglasses. Y/n sighed. "How perceptive. It doesn't surprise me that you're such a good Sourcer if you don't even miss things like that."

Gojo shook his head and sternly patted her fingers as she reached for his tie again. "You're funny. Did you eat a little clown before changing?"

"Oh, shut up! I always put up with your nonsense," y/n grumbled.

"Now I just wanted to say it looks pretty," Gojo said. Now Takuma also came out of his dressing room. He also wore a suit. "He's right, very pretty."

Y/n grinned at the two of them. "The dress? Do any of you want to swap? I'll happily take a suit."

"I didn't mean it like that," Gojo replied and Takuma nodded. Laughing, y/n nodded too. "I know. But I wouldn't mind seeing your sweet, pale legs under a flowing skirt."

Gojo put his hands on his hips indignantly. "Pale?"

"Like a piece of paper," Kento confirmed as he also joined them. Y/n began to grin as Gojo tilted his chin up. "My skin is like porcelain. All I hear is envy."

"Mhm. Yeah, sure," y/n nodded, unimpressed. Then she took the arm Takuma was now offering her. Together they went out of the room and took the elevator upstairs. In the entrance area to the party, they had their names checked off on the guest list. Then they entered. The room in which the celebration was held was beautifully decorated. The ceiling was covered with countless tiny lights. There were round tables set with glasses and dishes.

"Look at this," Takuma said, pulling y/n with him to the buffet. He immediately grabbed a piece of pastry. Gojo, who came running behind them with Kento, also helped himself to the sweets.

Meanwhile, Kento looked around. "I can feel the curses already."

"Ironic. The people here have everything," y/n murmured thoughtfully. "Money, social status, pretty clothes."

"So as soon as you're wearing a dress like that on, you're more superficial than a puddle," Gojo commented. Takuma grinned. "I don't think I've ever seen you in a dress before."

"Then maybe I should look a little longer than allowed," laughed an older gentleman who now came up to them. "Good evening you four, I'm glad you made it."

"Myoga? Kan Myoga?", Kento asked and the old man nodded and smiled. So the four Sourcerers bowed to him. He was the man who had asked them here.

"Ah yes, of course. You invited us," y/n then said. The old man nodded. "I hope you can enjoy the evening and only have to intervene in an emergency."

"Of course. A really wonderful celebration," Gojo now chimed in. He sounded unusually polite. Myoga smiled. "Oh, thank you very much. But of course the beautiful guests also contribute to that."

He then reached for y/n's hand and rubbed the back of it with his thumb. "Quite delightful. When I was at the Academy, I had no female classmates."

Y/n and Takuma exchanged a quick look and Kento cleared his throat in embarrassment. But Myoga didn't let go of her hand.
