When y/n got on the plane with Isagi, Gojo and Takuma still didn't know what y/n planned to do. Of course she had said goodbye to them and told them that Yaga had given her an assignment in France. But she hadn't told them anything about her mother. They could already see the Eiffel Tower from the plane. The sky was clear and the two looked out the window in anticipation. But when they landed back on the ground, y/n felt a little uneasy. She hadn't told her mother she wanted to come. Yaga had done that, then he had given y/n the tickets and the address.

Of course, she hadn't been able to tell Isagi how and why the distance between her and her mother had become so huge. But he still noticed that she was tense. So he took her hand after they had carried their suitcases up the narrow stairwell and waited in front of the apartment door.

"Y/n, how nice to see you," her mother smiled warmly as she opened the door. Y/n didn't know exactly what she was expecting, but somehow the situation was quite strange. Her mother didn't behave as if she had never actually been a part of her life. But she never had been y/n knew that very well. Nevertheless, y/n let her mother hug her.

"This is Isagi," y/n then said as they separated again. Her mother now also took Isagi in her arms. "How nice to meet you. Call me Julia. So that's your boyfriend... and the other one ...?"

"Huh?", y/n asked, as her mother closed the door behind them and led them into the entrance area. Isagi also made a questioning face. So her mother waved the two of them into her living room...

"Saturo?", Isagi said in surprise when they saw the white-haired guy on the couch. He was sitting there leaning back, his arms spread out on the backrest. Y/n felt her face starting to twitch angrily.

"We just drank lemonade," Gojo grinned. Y/n's mother nodded. "I'll get you some too."

But y/n shook her head. Then she looked at her mother with a decidedly calm look. "Or yes, give one to Isagi. I'd like to use the bathroom."

Then she looked at Gojo. "Come with me."

"But I haven't finished my drink yet," Gojo protested. Now y/n let out a real growl. "Now!"

Y/n's mother and Isagi exchanged a confused look. But Gojo finally stood up.

"Third door on the left," her mother said. But y/n had already walked off. She held the bathroom door open and closed it behind Gojo as he trotted up behind her. Then she even turned the key in the lock. "I will you kill! You hear me? Kill you!"

"Hey! Calm down. Your mother's really lovely. Why did you lie?", he raised his hands to her in a placating manner. Y/n wanted to start screaming. But she held back. "It's none of your business! I don't want you here! This is my mother, my family, my privacy. And I decided to not make you part of it."

Now Gojo also went into an attacking mood. "But Isagi, you want him to be part of it? What is he doing here? You can't even talk freely in front of him. Does Yaga know about this?"

"That's none of your business either," y/n growled. Then she grabbed a towel that was hanging on the shower stall and threw it at him. "Get out of here. You have no business here!"

But the towel didn't even reach him. It remained suspended in the air for a moment. Then it fell to the ground a few inches away from him. "Don't you dare! Turn it off!"

"Nop," Gojo grinned arrogantly. Now y/n was grabbing a bar of soap. But that didn't hit him either. Y/n let out a suppressed cry of frustration. "I hate you! You always do whatever you want!"

Gojo wanted to say something back when they heard Isagi's voice from outside. "Y/n? Are you okay in there?"

"Yes," y/n called out. She picked up the towel and soap from the floor again. Then she opened the door without paying any more attention to Gojo.

After that they sat in the living room. At some point Isagi went to unpack the suitcases. Gojo also disappeared, where y/n didn't know and didn't care.

"So you're a Sourcerer now," her mother said after they had sat in silence for a few minutes. Y/n nodded. "Almost, it's my third year now."

"And your boyfriend is a normal human?", her mother then asked. Y/n nodded again. Her mother continued to ask. "And the other one is your teacher? He seems hardly older than you? But he's charming."

"I...", y/n paused. "I really don't want to talk about them."

"What do you want to talk about?", her mother smiled lovingly at her. Y/n shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know... we don't actually know each other."

Now her mother suddenly looked guilty. "I'm sorry for that. Don't think it was easy for me."

Y/n shook her head. "I would never have dared to say that."

Now her mother looked a little surprised. Sighing, y/n reached for her lemonade. "I now understand that this life is not that easy."

"Then why are you doing it?", her mother asked. Y/n shrugged her shoulders. "Dad made up his mind at some point and sent me to the Academy. And Gojo says I have no choice. Because of my powers."

"Yeah, they're really something," her mother nodded. Y/n narrowed her eyes. "I was a kid. That wasn't intentional back then."

"That's not what I meant," her mother said quickly. Y/n looked at her challengingly. "Then why did you leave?"

"Because my heart was broken after your brothers had died. I blamed myself," her mother now looked upset. Y/n looked at her confused. "You blamed yourself? Why..."

But then Isagi came back into the living room and the two fell silent. So they spent the rest of the day with shallow friendliness. And Gojo, in particular, was surprisingly good at it. Y/n's mother was blown away by him, she even stroked his white hair in a motherly way every now and then. Somehow that made y/ns anger for him even bigger.

"What is he doing here?", Isagi asked with unusual hostility as he and y/n went to sleep in the guest room. Y/n sighed. "I have no idea."

"He was glued to your mother all day. He calls her Juls and he patted her hand," Isagi said. Y/n nodded disapprovingly. "You don't have to tell me, I was there."

"She said she now understands that this life isn't easy," Julia said, looking as if something was hurting her. Gojo, who had taken off his blindfold, looked at her reproachfully. "And it's even harder because her parents never thought it was necessary to tell her about it."
"You have absolutely no idea what it's like to have children. You do everything you can to protect them. I don't understand why her father had sent her to you now," Julia replied. Gojo shook his head. "But you didn't protect her. You left her alone."
