Y/n and Isagi had spent the first warm spring day together in one of the city parks. First they had gotten food and drinks in a supermarket and then had a kind of picnic. As the sun slowly set, Isagi wanted to take her to the tram. But y/n refused. She couldn't leave here yet. So she said goodbye to Isagi, using the excuse of wanting to visit Shoko. Then she walked towards the secluded bench, where he was sitting.
"Hey," she greeted him with a grin and then sat down onto the bench next to him. She had recognized Suguru a while ago. She didn't know exactly how long he had been sitting here.
"Who was that?", the black-haired young man asked without a greeting. She looked at him with raised eyebrows. "Isagi. But that's not why you're here, is it?"
Suguru wrinkled his nose. "You smell like him."
"Excuse you," y/n replied indignantly. What had come to his mind?
"Don't tell me you're in love with that monkey," Suguru grumbled. Y/n narrowed her eyes. "Don't call him a monkey!"
"You are... I can't believe it," now the black-haired seemed to be smiling down at her. Slowly y/n was getting really angry. "If you're not here to say something meaningful, then fuck off."
"What does Saturo say about you hanging out with this monkey... oops... with this young man?", y/n knew full well that he was provoking her. She snorted. "Ask him yourself. Oh no... you're not friends anymore. Well, bad luck."
"Actually, I always thought you were pretty mature," Suguru said. "But actually you are..."
"Stop talking Bullshit! You're barely older than me. That's ridiculous," she was about to get up and leave when he grabbed her wrist. It wasn't a rough grip, but it was still firm. She looked at him with warning. "I'll tell you this exactly once. Let go of me!"
She expected him to ignore her words. But he actually did as she demanded. So she stayed seated. "What do you want?"
"Have you ever talked to Gojo about your parents?", Suguru asked now. Y/n shook her head. Suguru understood. "What if I could save you the detour through Gojo?"
"How?", now he had y/n's full attention. Because there was a reason why she hadn't spoken to Gojo until now. For one thing, of course, she didn't want her to end up in a situation where she would be saying the name Suguru. On the other hand, her gut feeling told her that Gojo would interfere too much. So she found Suguru's suggestion more than tempting. "Your mother is currently in Europe. I took the liberty of creating a little chaos over there. It's not that bad. Just enough for a third grader to handle."
"I see," y/n nodded. "I'll see what I can do."
Then she stood up. But before she could say goodbye, Suguru also stood up. "I'll accompany you for a few steps."
"No thanks!", y/n said firmly. She had no interest in talking another word to him. His comments about Isagi had upset her. Suguru seemed to suspect this. Because now he behaved extremely friendly. "I didn't mean any harm."
"But you meant it!", y/n said, but took the arm that he was now holding out to her and hacked in. Like a couple from ancient times, they strolled through the park in the evening. Suguru sighed. "Yes, I did. Because he only accepts you because he doesn't know the truth."
"Maybe I'll just tell him the truth, let's see what happens," y/n replied flippantly. Suguru didn't let that bother him. "Then the Academy will make you feel consequences from which even Saturo will no longer be able to protect you."
Y/n rolled her eyes. How she hated it when everyone acted like she couldn't cope on her own. As if she couldn't cope without Gojo. Another reason why she enjoyed her time with Isagi. He knew nothing about Gojo, his strength and this world. So he didn't say anything like that to her.
At the end of the park the two separated. Y/n walked down the lit street to the tram station while Suguru disappeared under the cover of night.
When y/n arrived at the Academy, she immediately set course to Yaga's office. It was in the opposite direction as the student rooms. When she knocked on the door it was already late, just before nine. It was probably rude to bother him that late. But she couldn't wait with her request.
"Y/n?", the headmaster looked at her in surprise as she entered. "Are you okay? It's already late."
"Yeah, I know," y/n nodded. "I'm very sorry that I have to bother you now. But I want to discuss something with you."
"Of course, sit down," he pointed to a pad on the floor and y/n sat down on it. A little confused she looked at the felted animals that were scattered around. But she didn't have any second thoughts about it. However, Yaga didn't sit down yet. "Do you want some tea too? I just made myself some."
But y/n shook her head. "It won't be long. It's about my mother."
"Your mother? As far as I know, she currently lives in France," Yaga sounded questioning. Y/n nodded. "I know. And I would like to meet her. I haven't seen her in a long time and I think it would be beneficial for my development as a Sourcerer."
"Hmm," Yaga said thoughtfully. He wore his tinted glasses, like Gojo he also covered his eyes. Then he nodded. "I can't just send you on vacation. But I could actually offer you a job there."
"Yes?", y/n had to act as if this was new to her. But she immediately thought of what Suguru had told her. That he had caused some chaos over there. Yaga nodded. "I'll tell Gojo..."
"No!," y/n interrupted him immediately. "Can I do this without Gojo?"
"But he's your teacher," Yaga replied, a little confused. Y/n had to think of something quickly. "I'm almost in my fourth year, I'm sure I can handle it. Besides, I don't want to... my mother is private. "
Yaga didn't seem to like this much. But he understood. So he finally nodded. "All right then. I'll see what I can do."
"Thank you! Thank you, thank you," y/n bowed at least three times while they were still sitting opposite to each other, which made Yaga laugh. As he was about to escort her out, y/n pointed to the felted animals again. "What's that by the way? Did you make them?"
Now Yaga smiled mischievously. "I'll explain that to you another time. You have class tomorrow, if I'm not mistaken."
So they said goodbye to each other and y/n headed towards her room. Halfway there, she heard quick footsteps approaching from behind. When she turned around, she spotted Takuma. "Where are you coming from? Have you been with Yaga?"
Y/n paused. Then she shook her head. If Takuma would find out that she had been with Yaga, he might would tell Gojo. And Gojo would definitely be curious about it.
"No, what would I want from Yaga?", y/n said, pretending to be confused. But she could have saved herself that. Because now she saw the door of Gojo's room opening, a few meters ahead. Then he leisurely strolled into the hallway, hands in his pockets. "Yeah, what could you possibly want from Yaga?"
Y/n sighed and looked from Gojo to Takuma. "It's none of your business."
"You sound like you have something to hide," Takuma speculated. Gojo grinned. "The little one is right."
"Oh yeah?", now y/n crossed her arms over her chest. Suddenly she had the perfect excuse in her head. "You see, that's exactly why I went to Yaga. There are far too many males here and I want more privacy. "
"What's that supposed to mean?", Gojo snorted dismissively. Y/n clicked her tongue energetically. "Think about it."
Then she went into her room without paying any further attention to the two of them.
Juju Stroll
„What do you think about Paris?", y/n asked, resting her head on Isagis chest. He seemed a little confused. „Never been there. But it must be very beautiful, very... romantic."
„My school sends me there... and my mother lives there. Wanna meet her?", she lifted her head, so that she could see his face. „That wouldn't be a very cheap trip..."
„Right...", y/n said disappointed. But then he smiled. „Did I ever told you what my father's job looks like?"
Y/n shook her head and he smiled even wider. „He wears a lot of suits and sees a lot of money."
