It didn't take long for the pair to get home and changed before Arizona was back at Meredith's door, smiling
"You ready Mer?" Arizona called, Meredith had popped down stairs to let Arizona in then run back upstairs to finish getting ready.
"Nearly," Meredith calls before walking down the stairs, her hair still in the braids from the previous night, Arizona smiled as she saw her glad to see her wearing something comfortable.
"Ready now?" Arizona asked, smiling. Meredith could tell from her tone it wasn't that she wanted her to hurry up like Derek normally did but more so just her being curious.
"I've just got to take my meds, and strap my ankle it's a bit sore." Meredith replied heading for the kitchen.
As Arizona entered the kitchen she was amazed the house was immaculate, she sighed slightly as she saw Meredith reach to grab a container from one of the top cupboards
"It's the only place Derek will let me store them, he says I don't need to be wasting space storing stuff I don't need." Meredith states answering the question Arizona hadn't even been able to ask.
She watched as Meredith meticulously took out her meds checking off them off in a book that was also stored there.
"It helps me remember whether or not I've taken them I often forget." Meredith explains
"It's ok you don't need to explain everything to me, if it helps you then it's good." Arizona smiled, "do you want help wrapping your ankle?" Arizona asked seeing Meredith struggle slightly
"No it's ok I can do it." Meredith replied dropping the roll of tape.
"No my love let me help," Arizona cooed walking over to Meredith, "here sit on the counter." She cooed helping Meredith, before reaching down and helping wrap Meredith's ankle.
"How does that feel?" Arizona asked, once she was finished,
"That feels amazing, even better when I do it I can never get it tight enough." Meredith explains,
"Glad I could help," Arizona says smiling, "now take off your other shoe so I can do the other one." Arizona continues
"No I don't need.." Meredith starts but is interrupted
"It may not be sore now but with you taping up the left one you will inevitably put more weight on the right one, even though you know you shouldn't and end up making it sore so let's just tape it now to save you an issue later." Arizona explained, looking at Meredith who was looking down at her hands.
"I um.. sorry." Meredith said quietly
"No, no my love don't apologise I'm just trying to help, you don't have to." Arizona quickly replied worried she'd upset Meredith
"Oh um.. I suppose but I don't want to waste the tape, Derek said it's too expensive anyway and that's it's a waste, so I only want to use it when I need it." Meredith explained, picking at her fingers again.
"If you need more I'll buy more, and stop picking at your fingers." Arizona laughed handing Meredith the stress ball from her jacket pocket,
"Ok, thank you Ari." Meredith smiles taking off her other shoe before playing with the stress ball Arizona handed her. She sat silently while Arizona strapped up her second ankle,
"Ok ready to go?" Arizona asked once she was finished smiling at Meredith.
"Yep," Meredith said smiling, "where are we going?" She asked as Arizona led her out to the car.
"A surprise." Arizona smiled,
"No I hate surprises." Meredith pouted
"This is a good surprise." Arizona laughed
"Fine." Meredith said smiling

"Are we there yet?" Meredith asked for what felt like the 100th time
"Yes." Arizona said smiling
"Wait we are?" Meredith asked excited
"Yep, we are here, it's not much but I love this park." Arizona says smiling
"It's beautiful Ari." Meredith says looking out on the garden in front of them.
"I thought we could go for a walk and then have a picnic lunch?" Arizona suggested revealing the picnic basket she had packed.

"Is that Sandwich ok I have others?" Arizona asked as Meredith smiled at the sandwich in front of her
"Brie and Raspberry Jam," Meredith said smiling,
"Your favourite, you mentioned it the other day" Arizona explained,
"It's perfect Zona thank you" Meredith, replied
"Will Derek be home when we get back?" Arizona asked
"Um I don't know." Meredith replied, Arizona immediately regretted asking the question watching as Meredith's mood shifted,
"Is everything ok Mer?" Arizona asked
"Yeah." Meredith replied but didn't look up
"Meredith?" Arizona asked again.
"Arizona, can I tell you a secret" Meredith said quietly
"Of course my love, are you ok?" Arizona asked concerned
"I um... I don't think um... I um... well really like um.. Derek." Meredith said fumbling over her words
"What do you mean my love?" Arizona asked
"I don't think I like Derek, no I don't like him I don't want to date him," Meredith said
"Thats ok," Arizona cooed but could tell there was something more "is there something more?"
"I um.. I.." Meredith just stopped looking down,
"It's ok, keep going." Arizona printed
"I um don't think I've ever liked him or even any guy." Meredith said so quietly it was almost impossible to hear
"But is there someone you have liked?" Arizona asked
Meredith didn't say anything but nodded slightly,
"There have been two" she whispered if possible quieter than before
Arizona didn't say anything, just smiled at Meredith
"Um.. my friend from um... school.. she.." Meredith froze realising what she had said.
"It's ok, what was her name?" Arizona asked smiling
"Sadie" Meredith said smiling "but I called her die and she called me death"
"That's sweet, and the second one..."
"Um..." Meredith hesitated, but moved closer to Arizona
