You all quickly made your way to the Courtyard where Grim was, luckily, Grim hadn't made too much of an escape as he was distracted by the bright red apples that hung from some of the trees.

But unfortunately, the reactions of a cat were way faster than you all and his heightened senses immediately sensed the angry emotions that radiated off of you all.

Quickly turning around, Grim let out a "MYRAGH??!!!" and made a bolt for it.

Summoning a large net, Ace was quick to dash at Grim as he swung the net with the hopes of it reaching him, "Grim! How will you become a great magician if you don't take those lessons?!"

Grim frantically yelled as the adrenaline he felt made his movements faster, "I'm on a level you guys will never understand! Which is why I need classes on my level! You wouldn't get it—" The net Ace was holding swung furiously at him, "MYRAGH—?! Why're you trying to take me back anyways??"

Deuce bawled his fists and looked at Grim with a great sense of determination lingering in his eyes, "Because! We're doing this for a good lunch!"

Those words almost made Grim halt, and the fact that Deuce said it with complete seriousness felt too good to be true.

While Grim didn't completely stop in his tracks, he still did a double take at the statement and his speed he was sprinting at hesitated for a moment, but that hesitance didn't go unnoticed by Ace. In one swoop, Grim was captured by Ace immediately.

"Gotcha!" Ace smirked in victory at the sight of Grim struggling in the net.

"Cauldron! I summon thee!"

?!!

Suddenly, a cauldron materialized out of thin air and descended onto the spot Ace and Grim were at, as a natural reaction to avoid danger, Ace immediately let go of the net and Grim could only stare in utter doom at the cauldron.

The opening of the cauldron proceeded to cover Grim's entirety, as now the only thing the demonic cat could see was pitch darkness.

You quickly turned to face Deuce in utter shock as he looked quite proud of himself, "Deuce—?! Why would you summon a cauldron?!"

Ace also joined in, "Yeah! At least give us a little heads up first! That thing could've hit me too!"

Deuce's proud look only fell at the sight of you two upset at him, "I just wanted to further secure him..! In case he tries escaping."

You gave Deuce a soft look of disappointment, "Deuce.. Oh well, we've secured him regardless. Let's remove the cauldron and head to lunch."

At the mention of lunch, both Ace and Deuce visibly lit up as they were more than happy to assist you in removing the cauldron. And from the looks of it, as you removed Grim from the net and held him in your arms, all he could do was tiredly pout and grumble as the adrenaline wore off.

"But, [name]! I seriously don't wanna go back to class! You gotta understand.."

"You wanted to desperately go here, did you not? Grim, you're just gonna have to deal with it. If you wanna drop out though, I'm sure you could."

"[name], you're being so harsh to me today..!" Grim continued to pout at your lack of pity to him.

The cafeteria was pretty packed, with students bustling around as they chattered with their friends at their respective tables or while they were waiting in lines.

The smell of delicious foods overtook you all as the aroma came from the kitchen that was being handled by... ghosts?? And they looked quite similar to the ones back at your dorm, you made a note to ask them about that later.
