UNTIL DAWN

Chapter Two - The Anniversary.

One Year Later.
Lizzie is still missing even one year later, Gracie was the one to reach out to everyone getting them to agree to meet up for the anniversary.

The view of a freezing, cold, snow mountain is seen as a bus is driving towards it with Martin inside of it. He's seen texting a group chat of everyone from the incident one year prior. "excited to see you all!" Martin texts as there's no response for about five minutes, he lets out a sigh thinking about how awkward the group is now after the incident and how fun it all use to be.

Ding!

Martin checks his phone to see that Micah has texted back. "excited to see you too dude! it's been way too long" Micah's message reads as Martin smiles at his phone reading it. Suddenly, his signal goes dead as the bus stops at the front if the mountain estate. He gets off and takes in the beautiful view of the mountains that a traumatizing incident once occurred at one year ago. "Here goes nothing..." Martin says to himself as he walks along the main trail, alone. The cold wind blows into his face causing him to cover his face with his scarf for warmth. The trees blow in the wind as he walks as he hears a leaf crunch behind him. It startles him as he freezes in fear before turning around slowly to see nobody other than Cassidy. "Hey it's just me" she says looking at him as he lets out a sigh of relief. "Oh, hey Cass..it's great to see you" Martin says smiling out of relief as Cassidy gives a empathetic smile back. "It's great seeing you're doing okay Martin" she says wrapping her arms around him in a hug as he does the same. They both walk along the trail awkwardly as Cassidy finally speaks up, "it's been really weird between everyone huh" She says as Martin nods his head softly. "Yeah...I really miss how it use to be you know?" He says as Cassidy nods her head agreeing, "I mean there's still a chance they can find Lizzie right?" She asks as Martin shrugs his shoulders. "I don't know Cass..It's been a year" he says as Cassidy sighs and continues to walk. "Hey Cassidy?" Martin says as she turns to him, "what's up?" she says as Martin looks at the ground awkwardly. "Why did Celia even do that stupid prank? I feel so much guilt and I wasn't even awake when it happened." He explains as Cassidy sighs, "well Lizzie wasn't the sweetest soul I'll just say that instead of bringing that whole thing back up." She says as Martin nods his head and they continue walking until they get to the Cable Car station. "Here we are!" Cassidy says letting Martin inside the Cable Car first as they sit with each other. The Cable Car starts to move as Cassidy attempts to go on her phone but nothing is working, "stupid fucking brick" she says turning her phone off. Martin lets out a chuckle, "yeah nothing's going to work from up here, all our phones are pretty much useless." He explains as Cassidy responds, "this is going to be torture, awkward people and I can't even escape it with my phone?" She chuckles as Martin does aswell as it shows the view of the Cable Car being lifted.

Barry and Micah have kept contact and are seen walking together towards the lodge. "Have you talked to Gracie?" Micah asks as Barry nods his head while smiling. "A bit, It's still a bit weird but she always reassures me that the incident wasn't our faults." He says as Micah pats his back, "she so wants you man! make the move!" Micah yells as Barry quickly covers his mouth. "DUDE SHUT UP SHE MIGHT BE AROUND" Barry yells as Micah chuckles loudly, "dude she is not around I can prom-" Micah gets cut off. "Hey!" Gracie says running to catch up to them, Barry glares at Micah and mouths the words "don't say a word" to him. "H-Hey Gracie" Barry says flustered as she smiles at him and hugs the both of them. "It's seriously great seeing you both" Gracie says as they both smile nodding their heads. "Sooo I actually have to go uhh...do something so meet me at the lodge!" Micah says walking backwards away from them. Gracie smiles and nods, "alright see you there!" she says as Barry looks at Micah who does hand guns at him mouthing "you're welcome" at him as Barry chuckles, "ready to go to the lodge?" Gracie asks as Barry nods his head and they both walk the other way towards the lodge.

Amber is seen sitting on a bench enjoying the view as she suddenly gets startled by banging on a door. She turns around to see Martin and Cassidy locked inside the Cable Car station. She rolls her eyes and gets up, "what the fuck are you two doing?" she says as they both chuckle. "Let us out!" Cassidy says as Amber sighs pressing the button to let them out. "You're the realest Amber" Martin says in a laugh as Amber smirks, "what can I say" she says taking a bow as they all collectively laugh. "Why are you out here instead of heading to the lodge?" Martin asks as Amber looks around, "are you kidding me? this view? who wouldn't want to sit and enjoy it." She says as Cassidy and Martin look at the view which is absolutely breathtaking. They all take a minute to take it in before Amber realizes something and immediately turns to the other two. "Uh..don't you two have to go to the lodge?" She says in a nervous tone as Cassidy and Martin share a look before looking back at her, "we're in no rush? why are you...?" Cassidy asks as Amber gets a little fidgety. "Oh I just heard the others going over there you know...just don't want you two to miss the gathering!" Amber says forcing a smile as Martin raises an eyebrow, "don't you wanna walk with us then? so you don't miss them either?" He asks as Amber looks at the ground. "Uh I'll catch up with you two I just want to...ENJOY this view by myself for a second before all the chaos you know?" Amber says as Cassidy and Martin shrug their shoulders, "alright whatever you say..miss secretive" Martin says in a chuckle as before they begin to walk away as they spot Micah walking. "Hey Micah!" Cassidy says waving as Micah walks over with a smile, "hey guys it's been so long how's it going?" He asks as Amber smiles, "it's been going good just adjusting being back here." She says as they all nod agreeing with her. "Yeah I totally get you, what about you two?" Micah asks looking at Cassidy and Martin, "we're doing okay, we caught up on everything on the cable car here." Martin says as Micah smirks, "ohhh did this one get a little lucky?" Micah says pointing to Martin laughing as Cassidy makes a face. "Gross okay Martin lets go..like now" She says as Martin nods his head making a face, "agreed lets go" Both of them walk along the trail leaving Micah laughing at what he just did. Micah then turns to Amber, "are they gone?" He asks as Amber nods her head. Suddenly, Micah gets Amber against the wall as they both start kissing each other passionately. "God I missed you" Micah says in between the kiss as they continue to kiss until they hear noises in the distance that sounds like yelling. "Ugh" Amber says breaking up the kiss for them to look at where the noises are coming from. It's seen to be Celia and Andy arguing on their way towards the lodge.

"Can we not fucking do this right now Celia? It's the year anniversary of Lizzie's disappearance." Andy yells as Celia looks at him, "god you're so FUCKING OBSESSED WITH HER WHAT IS YOUR DEAL?" Celia screams as Andy rolls his eyes, "oh my fucking god you're psychotic there was NOTHING between me and her." Andy says as Celia shakes her head, "that's not what I'm trying to say Andy! you're defending the fucking girl that did all that shit to me!" Celia says as Andy shakes his head in disappointment, "Celia..for fucks sake that was TWO YEARS AGO the girl went MISSING get the fuck over it!" Andy says as Celia scoffs, "get over it? are you fucking serious?" She says as she starts walking without him as he follows her, "Celia..Celia don't fucking leave me right here!" He yells as the yells get more distant as they keep walking.

"Jesus christ who invited her back, it was her fault the incident happened in the first place." Amber says rolling her eyes as Micah chuckles, "it'll be alright baby I promise just ignore her." He says as she looks at him, "it's going to be hard when all she does is be a bitch to everyone." She says as Micah nods his head and moves a piece of hair out of Amber's face. "You can do this pretty girl I know you can, I will make this trip great for you even if we have to be secretive about us." Micah says as Amber smiles and kisses him one last time before going separate ways towards the lodge.
