Chapter Seven - What's In The Mines?

2:45 am

After hearing screeching from afar, it slowly vanished leaving Celia and Andy in a safe place...for now.

Celia and Andy are seen searching around the mountain area for their lost friends, Amber, Micah & Martin. "Where the fuck could they be?" Celia asks as Andy shrugs, "I have no fucking idea these mountains are huge they could be anywhere." They both collectively sigh as they continue walking, "wait babe I have a question" Andy says turning towards Celia. "hm?" Celia says looking at him, "why did you even do that sick prank on Lizzie?" Andy asks as Celia rolls her eyes, "wait I'm actually just curious I'm not trying to start anything." He says as Celia sighs, "well remember junior prom?" Celia asks as Andy nods his head, "yeah I remember you telling me about this but never went into detail." He says as Celia nods continuing her story, "well Lizzie was always jealous of the attention I got during high school, like the entire four years." Celia says as she tucks her hair behind her ears, "not trying to boost my own ego but it was no brainer I was winning prom queen." She says as Andy chuckles, "I know that's right babe who wouldn't vote a beauty like you." He says as Celia smiles and playfully flips her hair, "well anyways, Lizzie had planned some sort of revenge on me even though I was nothing but nice to her...shocking I know." Celia explains as Andy nods his head, "she filled a huge bucket with fake blood and when I went up for my acceptance speech she poured it all on me and humiliated me in front of hundreds." She says as she makes eye contact with Andy who gives her a look of empathy. "Lizzie didn't get in any trouble and I never got a single apology, I was nothing but nice to her and even becoming her like only friend but she let all that dumb fucking jealousy get to her. So after that night I started planning on getting her back and not being the nice part of me that everyone took advantage of anymore." Celia explains as Andy then cups his hand around her face, "I had no idea about that Celia oh my god.." Andy says with a sympathetic tone looking into her eyes as Celia wipes the forming tears coming into her eyes. "I feel so much fucking guilt from last year what I did to her because even though she did that shit to me I still loved her deep down but I just wanted to get her back I never wanted any of this to happen Andy." Celia says with a shaky voice trying not to cry, "Celia you could've came to me about all this honey." He says as Celia shrugs it off, "It wasn't really something I liked to talk about at all" She says as she looks to the side to avoid eye contact. Celia then feels a set of arms wrapping around her in a hug as she then realizes Andy is hugging her in an attempt to comfort her, She breaks down into tears into his shoulder until the two hear footsteps coming towards them. They both pull away as Celia wipes the tears from her face to make it seem like she wasn't just crying, the two look at the direction the steps are coming from and see a familiar face...Barry.

"Oh my god you look horrible what the fuck happened?" Andy says as Barry seems to be out of breath. "The...Radio Tower...collapsed" Barry says in the attempt to catch his breath, "the tower collapsed? what the fuck where's Gracie?" Celia says obviously worried about her. "She's dead she fell through the window and I couldn't hang on so I had to let her go and jump onto a ledge" Barry says as Celia raises her eyebrow. "So you fucking murdered her? are you that much of a fucking pussy or something-" Celia says as she gets cut off by Andy covering her mouth, "shit man I'm so sorry are you okay though?" Andy asks trying to get Celia to stay calm. "Yeah I'm fine..just feel so fucking guilty" Barry says as Andy nods before letting go of Celia, "calmer now? it isn't the best idea to blow up while we're in this situation baby." He says to Celia as she rolls her eyes, "whatever." She says as Andy turns his attention back to Barry, "it will all be okay dude alright? go back to the lodge and stay safe until help arrives, Celia and I are going to find the rest and get the fuck out of here." Andy says trying to calm Barry down as Barry nods and starts to walk towards the lodge. "Should we check on Cassidy?" Celia asks as Andy nods his head, "yeah maybe she found the others lets get them to the lodge and hide out until help arrives. Andy and Celia hold each others hand walking towards the sanatorium to look for Cassidy.

It cuts to Cassidy alone in the sanatorium after hearing a screech that seems different than any of the other screeches heard tonight. She jerks her head to look behind her and sees a rusty old shotgun next to multiple cage like things. "I just wanted to fucking party now I have to fight for my damn life." She says as she grabs the shotgun and goes through the path with both sides surrounded by cages. As Cassidy walks through, multiple leathery hands of different Wendigos reach out to grab her but luckily she dodges every single one. Cassidy looks ahead and sees a Wendigo out of a cage staring right at her, she brings up her shotgun and aims it right at it and shoots. The Wendigo is sent flying back giving her time to run which she does. Cassidy runs into a room and immediately locks it, breathing a sigh of relief before she hears a growl right next to her. She freezes in fear thinking it's another Wendigo but looks to the side and sees a wolf growling right at her. "fuuuuck me..." Cassidy says under her breath as she bends down to try and befriend the wolf by reaching her hand out. "Heyyy little fella" she says as the wolf keeps growling at her, "tough crowd..alright." Cassidy says as she rolls her eyes and stands back up and looks around the room and sees a bone sitting on a table. She picks it up and shows the wolf, "was this what you're looking for?" She says looking at the wolf as the wolf runs to her and sits down before she hands it the bone, "here you go" she says smiling finding some happiness from this god awful night. Cassidy then looks through the door crack to see if the coast was clear before opening the door and leaving. She leaves the room and looks back and notices the wolf is following her now, "oh now you want to be my friend okay." Cassidy says as she keeps walking with her gun in her hand, standing on guard. As Cassidy keeps walking ahead she hears a screech right behind her as the wolf starts to growl staring right at the Wendigo. The Wendigo then tries to tackle the wolf but before it can succeed, Cassidy shoots the Wendigo saving the wolf before taking off running again as the wolf runs with her. She leads the wolf to a room where she can keep it safe, "i'll be back for you I promise." She says petting the wolf as she shuts the door and runs out of the sanatorium running into two familiar faces, Celia and Andy. "Woah what the fuck happened?" Andy says as he looks at Cassidy. "More importantly what the fuck happened to your fingers" Celia says looking at her hand that's wrapped in a piece of her shirt. Cassidy sighs, "lets take a walk to the lodge I'll explain."

It cuts back to Barry walking to the lodge with tears running down his face from the guilt he feels about letting Gracie go. "Barry stop crying you had to do it to live" He says to himself as he then hears snow crunching behind him. Barry freezes in fear as the cold wind blows in his face, he then slowly turns around and sees a Wendigo for the first time during this night. A scream rips out of him as he starts to run towards the lodge in the distance.

Gracie is seen safe and sound in the lodge as she hears a scream and extremely fast footsteps heading towards the lodge. She walks slowly to the door to see what's going on as she sees Barry run up to the door and tries to open it but Gracie locks it in time. "Holy fuck Gracie you're alive!" Barry says continuing to bang on the door, "let me in please something's chasing me!" He screams as Gracie just stares blankly at him shaking her head. "You fucking let me go you piece of shit" Gracie says in a cold, heartless tone. "I-I know I'm so fucking sorry Gracie let me in I'm going to fucking die!" Barry says as Gracie just gives him a blank stare once more, "burn in hell Barry you're just trying to make me let you in." She says giving him a death stare as she then sees a Wendigo run towards Barry, "oh fuck" Gracie says but freezes in shock. The wendigo then grabs Barry by the head and throws him to the ground. "GRACIE HELP!" Barry screams as Gracie stands there in absolute shock as the Wendigo raises it's arms and completely bashes them into Barry's face multiple times demolishing his skull, spreading his brain matter everywhere. Barry's body goes limp right in front of Gracie as the Wendigo then turns to her as they have a stare down. The Wendigo then screeches loud looking at Gracie through the glass door which sends her into a panic. Gracie then runs towards the basement door and runs into the basement, locking it behind her.
