UNTIL DAWN

Chapter Ten - Dawn Hits.

5:00 am
30 minutes until dawn.

The group all stand in shock as the lodge becomes infested with Wendigo's, Cassidy looks in shock to see Micah, someone she hasn't seen since the beginning of this nightmare. The group then see a specific Wendigo that has a specific vibe to them. They look to see a familiar birthmark on it that only their old friend Lizzie had. "Lizzie.." Celia says under her breath as her and Gracie share a look. Lizzie had gotten bit a year prior which made her survive her attack and become a Wendigo. The group collectively are in shock as Gracie looks around and remember's that fire is their weakness. She looks around to see a gas pipe, a lightbulb and a lighter, she looks at the group as they all collectively have the same idea. Celia sees the lighter and moves a bit to get closer which attracts one of the Wendigo's on her. Andy sees this and yells out "HEY!" as a distraction which makes the Wendigo get to him. Celia looks over at Andy who now is face to face with the Wendigo. He then gets tackled onto the floor with the Wendigo on top of him, Celia tries to yell to get it off him but it does nothing. Andy screams in absolute fear as the Wendigo shoves it's hand in his mouth, completely ripping his jaw off in front of everyone. Celia sees this as tears fill her eyes as her boyfriend just died in front of her. Celia reaches for the lighter and gets it as two Wendigo's look at each other and tackle each other. The group look at each other in confusion as one Wendigo gets sent into the gas pipe, breaking it. Gracie runs over to the lightbulb which attracts Lizzie to her, She stands as still as she can as Lizzie screeches in her face. Without moving a muscle, Lizzie doesn't sense her movement and leaves her alone as Gracie wraps her hand around the lightbulb and smashes it, getting glass in her hand. Celia gives everyone a look that tells them it's time to get out of the lodge before their plan goes into flames. Gracie takes the chance first, sprinting out of the lodge and into safety. Micah tries to run out but instead falls to the ground and groans in pain. A Wendigo lunges towards him but is stopped, "hey you scrawny fuck!" Cassidy screams getting the Wendigo off him as Micah takes that time and crawls out of the lodge and ends up with Gracie outside. The Wendigo gets in Cassidy's face and screeches before something is thrown at it. The Wendigo looks to see that Celia threw her phone at it and it runs towards her, leaving Cassidy alone. All Wendigo's sense Celia's movement and surround her as Cassidy runs out. Cassidy, Gracie and Micah all see Celia still inside as they start to panic and scream. "CELIA COME ON!" Gracie screams, "RUN!" Micah also screams as Cassidy makes eye contact with her, knowing what she's about to do. Celia looks to the side and sees the dead body of her boyfriend, "I'll see you soon." She says before lighting the lighter which instantly sends the lodge into flames. Killing her, Lizzie and all the other Wendigo's with her. Cassidy, Micah and Gracie sit in the snow with tears in their eyes as the sun is seen rising and helicopter are seen now arriving.

"We have conformation on three survivors, over."  A rescue team says over a walkie talkie as the three are transported to medical help.

The next night, Investigators were went to look into the mines for anymore survivors. A group with their flashlights are seen walking around until they see someone with long black hair crouched on the ground, eating something. "Hello, miss?" One of the Investigators say as the woman turns around and is no other than Amber Levine. Her teeth are now razor sharp and is seen eating a dead corpse. "NO! WOAH STAY BACK!" The Investigators all scream as Amber then lunges at them, screeching loudly.
