UNTIL DAWN

Chapter Five - The Radio Tower.

Minutes go by and there's no sight of Martin which begins to worry the group. "Should we go check on him?" Gracie asks clearly anxious as Barry rubs her back comforting her. "He's fiiiine...that power box is just probably really fucked up" Celia says as she looks to see Cassidy shaking her leg with concern. "It's been like twenty minutes Celia I doubt it takes that long" Barry says as the group all look at each other. "I agree with Barry it doesn't take that long to fix a damn cord." Andy chimes in as Cassidy stands up aggressively, "we are not about to just sit here, I'm going to check on him." She says as she walks out the lodge, the rest of the group look at each other before following her so she doesn't go alone.

The group all walk outside and see no sign of Martin or even a sound, "come on the power box is at the back." Cassidy says leading the group who are all on edge already, Cassidy turns the corner and sees a massive blood stain in the snow where the power box is. The group collectively gasp as Andy stands in front of them to take a look at the box, "this shit was fucking cut." Andy says in frustration as Gracie starts to panic. "What the fuck do we do? where is he?" She says as Andy runs his fingers through his hair clearly stressed out. "We need go get help right? I mean we can't just sit here!" Celia says as the group looks at her, "well no fucking shit Celia" Cassidy says in a panic as Celia crosses her arms. "Do not fucking play in my face Cassidy I swear to god I will fuck you u-" She is cut off by Andy separating the two. "Okay enough, all of you listen to me" Andy says looking at everyone. "There's a radio tower nearby, someone needs to go and see if it's possible to get a signal there and call for help while the rest of us go look for Amber, Micah and Martin to get the fuck out of here." Andy says as the group nods, "...so who's going because I'm fucking not." Celia says looking at them as the whole group glares at her, "fuck it I'll go." Gracie says as Barry's eyes widen at her, "not alone you're not, I'm going with you." He says as Gracie shakes her head, "no you need to stay safe with the rest if them" she says as Barry tucks her ginger hair behind her ear, "Gracie I am going with you no matter what." He says as Gracie gives a soft smile nodding her head as Celia rolls her eyes, "okay can you both love each other later? this is kind of serious." She rolls her eyes as Andy gives her a look that shuts her up instantly, "..sorry?" Celia says going quiet right after. "Alright Celia and Cassidy lets go find them so we can get the fuck out of here, somethings fucking weird here" Andy says as Cassidy looks at him, "yeah fucking clearly, Martin's like MISSING." She says as Andy turns back to her, "oh you little fucking shit." He says as he walks off with her and Celia.

Gracie and Barry walk along a trail that leads to the radio tower. "You looked so good in my
shirt earlier" Barry says laughing nervously as Gracie smiles now wearing the outfit she had on before. "Oh why thank you" She says smiling as Barry's face flusters up and looks away. "Hey if we die tonight at least we won't die being virgins!" Barry says trying to make light of the situation as Gracie just glares at him. "Sorry...not the right time maybe" The two keep walking until they reach the tower, they look up to see thousands of feet above them and see the ladders they have to climb. "Well here goes nothing right?" Barry says as Gracie nods, "right." They both walk to the ladder as Barry steps to the side, "ladies first." He says as Gracie smiles as she starts climbing up the ladder first with Barry climbing up right behind her. About half way up Gracie's foot slips as she gasps, she feels a hand placed on her back as she hears "I got you, don't worry you're doing great" from Barry which makes her release a sigh of relief as she continues to climb.

After more climbing, the two reach the top of the tower and go through a trap door to enter it. All they see is a bunch of radio equipment and boxes, "there's the radio!" Barry says as he sees it's unplugged. "I'll plug it back in give me a second" He says as there's a screech heard from outside, "what was that?" Gracie asks as Barry shrugs his shoulders. "A bear maybe?" Barry says while struggling to untangle some cords, "I'm going to look outside" Gracie says as Barry replies, "just be careful, please." Gracie nods her head as she opens the side door and sees a balcony type thing and walks out to see nothing outside. Her nerves are getting to her badly but when she turns around she sees a glass box with a flare gun inside. "Hey Barry?" Gracie yells as she looks at the gun, "yeah?" He says as Gracie doesn't take her eyes off it. "Come here for a sec" she says as Barry gets up and walks to her, "whats up good lookin?" He says with a smile as his eyes look at the gun, "woah this is cool as shit!" He says opening the box and grabbing it. He looks at it, "what if we shot it up as a call for help?" He asks as Gracie shrugs her shoulders, "I mean maybe but we're in the middle of the mountains right now I highly doubt anyone will see it." She says as Barry nods his head, "you...have a point." He says handing her the flare gun, "here keep yourself safe with it just in case, I care about you more than myself." He says as Gracie smiles to herself widely as he goes back inside the tower and finally untangles the cords and plugs the radio in which turns it on. Radio stations are heard as Gracie starts to scroll through them waiting to hear from someone who can help. Multiple scroll throughs later and they finally reach someone, "Mountain rescue team, who are we speaking to?" A male voice is heard as Gracie looks at Barry before speaking. "Hi, my names Gracie Sawyer I am at the lodge in the mountains...I think one of my friends might be in danger he hasn't been seen in about an hour and we found his blood in the snow." Gracie says in a shaky voice as static is heard before the male voice responds, "your connection is bad miss, please repeat that." Gracie sighs before continuing, "We need help! send everyone you have please I think me and my friends are in danger one of them is missing and we found his blood!" She says in a louder tone before the male speaks up, "you're still breaking up ma'am, I heard that you and your friends are in danger? we will send help...they won't be arriving until dawn." The male voice says before Gracie scrunches up her eyebrows, "until dawn? is this a sick fucking jo-" Gracie says about to snap as the audio goes to complete static meaning their connection ran out. She runs her hands through her hair as Barry looks at her, "hey it's okay, they're sending people we'll be just fine okay?" He says as Gracie nods her head. "I guess you're right, I just want to get the fuck out of here Barry it's clearly not safe" Gracie says as Barry nods his head. "I know Gracie I know, we'll get out of here soon okay?" He says leaning into her as they both share a sweet kiss before hearing a loud snapping sound. "What the fuck was that?" Gracie says as Barry looks around in a panic as they both start to feel the tower tilting. "Oh fuck Gracie the tower's fucking falling!" Barry screams as Gracie's eyes widen but before she has time to do anything the tower tilts more which sends her sliding down on the floor onto a window. "Barry help me!" Gracie screams as Barry looks at her, "fuck fuck fuck GRACIE!" He yells as he grabs her hand right as the glass below her shatters. "Please don't fucking let go oh my god" She says in a shaky voice clearly terrified. "I got you I got you" Barry says using all his strength for her not to fall. Barry looks up to see a ledge in front of him that him and Gracie could get on but as he tries to pull her up gravity is forcing her down making it impossible. "Gracie I can't hold on much longer...fuck." He says sweating a bunch as Gracie looks at him with terror in her eyes, "please don't let go I don't want to die Barry please." Gracie says with a terrified sound in her voice, "Gracie I..I can't pull you up." He says as the tower slowly tilts more..any second it can fully collapse. Suddenly, the tower starts to fall fully as Barry notices, "I'm so sorry." Barry says letting go of Gracie to jump on the ledge he saw as the radio tower collapses into the ground right in front of his eyes knowing Gracie has now fallen. Barry starts to break down into tears feeling extreme guilt of what he has now done.

Celia, Andy and Cassidy are seen walking till they reach the spare cabin where Amber and Micah were once at but they see nothing but the front door of it flung open. "What the fuck?" Celia says as all three of them rush inside and see no sight of Amber or Micah. "Where the fuck could they be?" Andy says as Cassidy seems to be staring off into the distance, "what the fuck is your problem?" Celia asks judging Cassidy for staring off, "Look it's the sanatorium" Cassidy says as Andy raises his eyebrow. "Do you really want to go to the abandoned fucking psycho hospital? there's probably some mentally ill homeless guy in there." He says as Celia laughs and Cassidy rolls her eyes, "I'm just saying what if those two or even Martin are in there? think with your fucking head Andy." Cassidy says before looking back at both of them, "I'm going over there, you two have fun doing...whatever you psychos love doing." She says while walking off towards the sanatorium leaving Andy and Celia together. "What is her problem I thought you two were friends?" Andy asks as Celia shrugs her shoulders, "I mean we were but I guess..." Celia turns her voice into a mocking tone. "I guess Martin really got her hung up" She says while laughing as Andy joins in, "you're so mean for that oh my god." The two laugh as they then hear screeching in the distance which grabs their attention.
