He had dark hair and deep brown eyes. If I thought Wes looked good I was in a whole new world with this guy. He was everything Wes wasn't. Dark, mysterious, could probably kill you with ease.
"Hello. You may call me Opal." I tried to give a mysterious introduction, but with how many thoughts were going through my head I was pretty sure that was impossible.
"You met the jerks too, huh." JD questioned, but not in a harsh way.
"Yep." I tried to answer, not sure if I was speaking or thinking, "So, why'd you join the resistance."
"I didn't agree with anything Kondrayia was doing, so I decided to try to stop it. How about you?"
"They murdered my brother, so I vowed to destroy them, I never agreed with what they were doing anyway."
"Makes sense" JD finished.
We ate the rest of our breakfast in peace before JD finally left.
"I'll see you around!" JD said before walking away!
"Yeah... See you around!" I yelled back, feeling extremely giddy for who knows why.
I grabbed my plate and threw it away in a trash can before climbing the stairs back to my room. I was walking down my room's hallway until I noticed something on the ground. It was a piece of paper, I knew I shouldn't be snooping but I couldn't help but read what was on the note. It read:
-Dear father,
I am extremely excited to be able to witness Kondrayia prosper. I am overwhelmed to be the future heir to this powerful empire. The people who dislike Kondrayia are all here in this building. They believe I am one of them.
All of them are wrapped around my finger.
Sincerely, Wescott Drayia Forbes.-I grabbed the letter and ran to JD's room as if my life depended on it. I knew I shouldn't trust him yet but I knew I NEEDED him to get out of here. It was also a gut feeling and I ALWAYS trust my gut.
I rapped on the door three times before JD swong it open.
"What!" He asked rather rudely as I shoved the note in his hands.
" I don't have time to explain. We need to go. Read that and you'll understand, you have a motorcycle, right?" I responded.
His eyes skimmed over the note and then widened in shock.
"You're right! We do have to go! Yes I have one it's near my window."
"Then we jump out of the window."
"I hate that I'm saying this, but that seems to be our only option."
I flung open the window and JD jumped through. I followed right after him.
