The smoggy smell of the district air filled my nose and I smiled. I was home. I could keep Will safe, I could stop Celica from whatever she was going to do. I could keep the district safe, and I could keep myself safe.

Milky had healed nicely from two days ago, and that took a weight off my heart. The only thing different now was he was much more alert, less docile towards threats.

I stood at the doors of the train, waiting for them to open. Haymitch stood behind me, sipping from his flask. He had been quiet, and I had been quiet, meaning a longer ride home.

"You okay?" He asked, looking down at me, and I nodded. His face seemed solemn, and his eyes cautious.

"Yeah," I hum lightly.  The doors slide open, "home." I breathe as I step out into the winter air.

My eyes scanned the crowd and thankfully they settled on the boy with blonde curls and eyes of the sky. He stood in the front row, clapping and cheering. I could see Celica towards the back, Penny and Rose holding hands in the middle and Prim standing next to her sister. Everyone was clapping and cheering.

The victory rally was tonight, which was hopefully a huge festival. No stylists and no creeps. Real music and real dancing. Although there was a capitol band setting up, I already saw Tam Amber giving them what looked like a stern talking to. I'd be surprised if they could understand him through his thick accent.

For a second, I stood still, and then I darted forwards. Where? Right to Will. He met me halfway and swallowed me into his arms. He planted his hands on my waist and hoisted me up in the air, spinning me all around. I laughed and kicked my legs, and the crowd whooped louder. When he put me back down, I tilted my head up at him and pulled the ring out of my shirt. I had found a new chain for it, and kept it around my neck, keeping it close to my heart.

"You kept it?" He asked, pressing his forehead to mine.

"Of course!" I laughed, throwing my arms around him again, but this time we were pulled apart. I swiveled around to find Celica.

"C'mere girl!" She squealed, and pulled me in, "meet me behind the justice meeting at eight." She whispered, and then disappeared into the crowd.

"What was that?" Will asked, and I looked back and shrugged.

"Nothing," I lie, "she just said she was happy I was home and she had to go somewhere."

"She's been acting weird lately." He says, and then pulls me into a bone crushing hug. "Me and Sae missed you." He whispers into my ear, his breath tickling my neck, but before I can respond or even laugh, we are pulled apart.

"Sae and I," Haymitch corrects, sounding like Eddie. He then looks down at me. "Go home and change out of that Capitol shit. Trust me, the party won't start without you." Haymitch laughs, and I roll my eyes and huff.

"I'll go with her!" Will says happily, turning to follow me.

"No." Haymitch says, grabbing his shoulder, and just like that, I walk home alone.

When I walk into Haymitch's house, I walk up to my room to find a yellow dress laying out on my bed.

A fun dancing dress, have fun!

I smiled as I slipped the light yellow dress on. It was tighter around the chest and flared out at my waist into a beautiful wide skirt that fell just below my knees. Underneath was a crazy amount of tulle that made the skirt fluffy. It was also perfect for swishing around when dancing. It had a sweetheart neckline with straps that looked like ribbon that tied around my neck. I slid on brown work boots and pulled on one of Haymitch's big brown jackets that I took. I immediately ran out of the house and back to the rally, which was more of a festival.
