Chapter 8

The match was today, it was Team Z vs Team W. We had already prepared for this & made plans on what to do. So everyone should be able to score a few points or at least try to, the game immediately started with the twins taking the ball. Everyone got in they're position & started the game, they immediately started kicking the ball among each other & got past gurimo. For the first 30 minutes i'm a center back of the rear line, our job was clear we had to stop those 2 from using they're combination, but they managed to get past everyone. They were really good, they then started heading for chigiri & me.

"Here they come chigiri"

"Yea we'll  stop them!"

"Chigiri? you mean chigiri the glass prodigy?"

I learned about chigir's weapon a while ago although it think it wasn't on the best terms, he ended up telling me a bit about it but not all, but i think he got upset with me because he thought i was giving him pity when i honestly wasn't trying to. So i guess the twins recognize him from somewhere.

"Hey bro! he still playing soccer!! he probably can't get over the glory days of his past huh!?"

I think his brother was a mute or something, because he didn't talk or reply to anything he was saying at all. He only made facial expressions.

"Yea that's right! as a former teammate of yours let me say this, it's all over for you as an athlete. That's what my bro says"

They managed to get past chigiri & even made him freak out & freeze but warning him about his leg, i already knew his story but chigiri was like me. Because of his injury he was putting restrictions on himself, i managed to swoop in & steal the ball from junichi.

"On steal coming right up"

"What the hell!? that was a foul come on!! that's what my bro says"

"I was prepared for a foul you annoying freaks, we can't stop you if we don't play like this"

It didn't count as a foul though because the game was still going, so i guess i did the right move.

"And don't bother listening to these freaks chigiri, who gives a shit about you're past. To me you're still Team Z's Chigiri"

I kicked the ball over to Yudai & he received it when i did.

"Nice Pass Yuki!"

"Mind you're own bussiness yuki, i told you not to worry about me"

"It's not like i'm saying it for you, unlike you i don't have a past that i can be proud of. I came here because i didn't want to give up soccer!!"

Yudai then passed the ball to gurimo & he received it

"I'm in blue lock so i can change my life, i don't know much about you're past or you're injury but all of us are strikers. Frustration, Pain, Anything at all. I don't care about you're past what i want to see is you're present, it can be reborn in one shot with a goal!!"

We managed to score a goal thanks to wataru, the ball was passed to him & he scored us 1 point. I stopped moving & took a breather for a second.

"We're not here in blue lock just so we can cry & give up we're here to win & reach the top"

"........."

The game resumes after we scored 1 point, once again the twins had the ball again. Raichi & Bachira were up next, the twins headed for them & bachira was able to take the ball from them.

"They're not paying attention, i'll be taking this then hehe~"

Bachira took the ball & kicked it with his feet.

"My target.... is Kuon"

Kuon received the ball when bachira kicked it over to him.

"With you're jumping power weapon, you should be able to reach it"

Kuon received the ball & he immediately kicked it to the goal from the position he was in.

"Woah! really? you're shooting it from there?"

He scored us another point, so now it was 0-2. Kuon was actually pretty good, everyone cheered got impressed.

"I don't know why but i'm on fire today"

The first half continues with 30 minutes on the clock, so the next formation was gagamaru, raichi & yudai. But Junichi got a foul by grabbing Yudai & pulling him backwards which got the judges attention on the speakers.

"Junichi Wanma Foul!"

"Hehehe thanks for the free kick~"

Junichi got annoyed & yudai just stuck his tongue out at him & laughed, the ball was given to bachira as a free kick. He brought his hand up & wiped the sweat of his chin & exhaled softly.

"Team W is really worked up, phew! it's getting really fun now~"

He took a glance at me & smiled lovingly before turning his gaze back to the field again.

"Okay!~ the post where they're guard is lowest..... is there!"

Bachira kicked the ball over to the direction he was aiming at with force, but suddenly kuon jumped & hit the ball with his head scoring yet another goal.

"Another one...."

"Woah! nice~"

After we scored a point we got first half over time, we went back to the locker room to take a break & hydrate. I took a seat on the bench & fan myself with my hand a bit, everyone was so hyped & excited how kuon got us 3 points in just a few minutes. This seemed way to easy, but something at the back of my head was telling me that something was wrong too. I brought my hand up & wiped my mouth from the sweat a bit, bachira walked over to me & handed me his water bottle.

"Something on you're mind my little monster? we're scoring goals so why aren't you smiling?"

I took his water bottle & he sat down with me grabbing me & pulling me over to sit on his lap again. I just help the water bottle in my hand & didn't drink it yet.

"Yea sorry it's just...... i can't help but feel that something bad is about to happen."

"With who? team W? we seem to be doing just fine agaisnt them though"

"No not them......"

Bachira tilt his head & rested it over my shoulder, taking a glance at my face. I didn't say anything & just pointed at kuon.

"But his weapon is being useful right now & he is part of our team, what do you mean something could go wrong?"

"Remember when you told me i was wearing a mask when i first came to blue lock, you were determined to reveal the real me & break my restrictions"

"Yep~ & i did now you're an awesome striker & a strong one too~ but what does that have to do with kuon?"

He nuzzled my cheek & then rested his face on my shoulder again as he put his hands around my stomach & held me close to his body.

"I think he is too, i feel like him scoring goals is just a set us up to something. I don't know i can't explain it & i don't want to start pointing negative fingers at anyone when we're doing so good right now & i don't want to start assuming things without any proofs either."

Bachira went silent for a moment when i said that before speaking again.

"What does you're monster say?"

"What...?"

"You're monster, you're monster isn't just a weapon to score goals for you. You should try to listen to what he says sometimes even if his being a sadistic bitch & trying to manipulate you & force you to lose control over youself. But he might have ideas or can probably guide you to see who the enemy really is. That's what i do with my monster, i try to listen to the voices in my head & do what he says. Though now i do whatever you tell me to do instead of listening to him but i still listen every so often"

When bachira mentioned my monster a shadowy figure appeared underneath us for a split moment, the monster wasn't grinning big this time like he always does. Instead he was just glarring at kuon, he whispered some words to me & then dissapeared again, i think bachira heard it because he said the words at the exact time that i did.

".....Traitor"

We kinda got surprised when we said it at the same time, which made bachira shuckle & stick his tongue out at me.

"Oh you heard it..."

"Yep~ i'm the only one who can see & hear you're monster remember? dunno why but i'm able to, which is helpful for when i need to calm you & bring you back to you're senses~"

"Right..."

"Well there's you're answer then"

"Yea but what does that mean? that isn't exactly a hint... that's just even more confusing as hell"

"Then i guess we'll find out soon enough, you're monster isn't a team player so it's not like we can force it to talk more & explain it to us. We'll be fine my little yuki~ & if something happens i'll protect you like i always do, let's just keep playing together & score goals 'kay? don't let yourself  be stressed out yet, we're only just starting the match. So smile my little monster, i wanna see the adorable smile i love so much~"

He playfully bonked my head with hand softly to get me to stop thinking so much & then brought it down to grab my face & made me face him, he leaned himself forward & kissed me deeply to which i kissed him back in return when he did. He pushed my hand up towards my mouth, the one i was holding the water bottle in & told me to drink it & stay hydrated, to which i did & took a sip. After that break time was over & we returned to the game once more, bachira's right i can't think about that for now. Let's just focus on the game for the time being & just keep our eyes open if anything happens

"Chigiri..."

"Hm?"

"How can you talk about finding a reason to quit when you're in a place as fiery as this? everyone is so energized & excited, you should be too."

"..........Yuki...."

The second half of the game starts once more, the next position was Raichi's he took the ball & ran across the field with it. But junichi suddenly appeared next to him.

"Oh? you gonna try to stop me yourself big bro?"

Kuon tried to make raichi pass it to him.

"Raichi Pass it back for now! let's take our time!"

"Pass it back kuon! don't take the glory all to yourself!"

"I will! our team's victory is priority!"

Kuon took the ball but keisuke came rushing towards him & stole it.

"The Glory is mine!~"

"Crap!"

"You let him take it!!"

The twins were playing deffense mid-field, they seemed to be adjusting they're strategy for the second half. But i have to stop them even if it means i'll be making a foul, they came rushing towards me with the ball & i prepared myself to take it. In that case i slidded across the floor & tried to take the ball from the both of them but they immediately reacted by jumping in the air with it & completely avoiding me.

"Crap! Chigiri!"

Crap we can't stop them, okuhito tried to stop them but keisuke kicked the ball over to junichi & then he took the ball & scored a point, now we were at 1-3. If we let those 2 have they're way.... kuon got my attention before i could space out again.

"Relax yuki! we're still ahead by 2 points we don't need to force an attack, just make more careful passes."

Right, we're still on the lead we can still make this work somehow.

"Yuki!"

Kuon kicked the ball over to me but junichi blocked it & stole it from reaching me, he kicked it & scored a goal for his team making it 2-3. Wait what just happened? did he kicked the ball to me on purpose just to give them a goal? that was a mistake & not to mention that was a weak kick too.

".....Why did you....-"

Bachira noticed it too & his demeanor changed, he went serious & glared at kuon.

"Hm.... don't think that was the right move..."

Raichi suddenly yelled at him

"What the hell are you doing kuon!? did those 3 points break you're focus!?"

Yudai immediately grabbed raichi & stopped him.

"Raichi stop! don't fight!"

"Sorry i don't know what's wrong with me, this is such an important match! im sorry!"

My monster reacted & came out again, he put his hands on both my shoulders & suddenly pushed me down. He was hovering himself over me & glarring intensely at kuon.

"Liar!! traitor!!"

"Hey! ow! get off me!! get back in you're place i don't need you here right now! you're fucking heavy & you're claws are hurting me!"

"Open you're eyes princess, his not you're teammate!! Wake up to reality!! his deceiving you!!! Kill him!!! devour him!!! GET RID OF HIM!!!!!"

"What the hell are you talking about? & why are you all of a sudden giving me warnings? you don't even care about anyone else but yourself, his a teammate not an enemy you dumbass"

"NO HIS NOT!! HIS A TRAITOR!! DON'T TRUST HIM!!!"

".... Why are you even saying that....?"

With that being said he left again & didn't even bother to explain yet again, i didn't even notice it but bachira was behind me he tapped my shoulder to get my attention & shifted my body to the side a little so i was facing him.

"Little monster? why was he out again? did he hurt you?"

"Yea kinda....."

After he leg i just shrugged my shoulders & rubbed them slightly, bachira got annoyed when i told him that he did. He grabbed my shoulder softly & brushed his hand agaisnt it, he can't exactly see it though because of the uniform we were wearing but he knew the monster did something to me & it pissed him off. His expression showed both but fustration & a bit of anger

"What did that fucker say this time? if he marked you i'm killing him.... he better of not done anything to you're body..."

"Bachira He-"

The whistle blew loudly & the speaker called out to bachira before i could even tell him what my monster told me.

"Meguru Bachira return to you're position & resume the game"

"....... Fuck...."

"Sorry...."

"Ugh... Okay it's fine, let's just keep going then my little monster. If he comes out again see if you can force him to talk & tell you what the hell's wrong with him, i'm worried but were in the middle of the game so i can't help you right now. I will however score a goal if you need me to, so just tell me when 'kay?"

Bachira intertwined his hand with mines & held it tightly, he brought it up to his lips & kissed the back of it.

"Thanks bachira, that's why i love you so much~"

"I love you more my little monster~ hehe~"

"Bachira...!!-"

Bachira growled loudly & interupted them

"I'm going!! fuck you're annoying..."

Bachira ran off back to his position & i just took in a deep breath i glanced over to kuon & i swear i felt my heart drop all of a sudden, did kuon just..... smile. Oh god, the monster was right, something is not right here. We're 10 minutes into the second half of the game & they've already scored 2 points, this is bad. Something is definitely wrong here but i don't know what. Second half & we got 30 minutes to score more points.

"Bachira!! you guys need to attack next formation!!"

"Hehehe!~ Okay!! whatever you want my little monster i'm all yours~"

".......i swear you're like a little puppy for yuki..."

"Yep~ she's my treasure & my little monster i'll do anything for her~"

Bachira giggled at gurimo's comment & stuck his tongue out at him, they got in formation after the whistle was blown loudly. This next point is the key we can score next, we'll be able to take back the momentum of this game from the other team, i ran across the field with the ball. Keisuke tried to take it from me but i quickly kicked it over to Kunigami, we need to hit them with the combination we practiced. So bachira & Kunigami can form a triangle that will smash throug they're deffenses, as long as they have an opening kunigami can shoot from mid-field at any time. But they're still far back so there wasn't any openings right now & they were sealing bachira off too so passing the ball to him was risky now.

"Crap! Bachira!"

"Hey no fair!"

"Got no choice.... Yuki!"

Kunigami quickly kicked it over to me, i quickly received it & took it

"Huh!? Me!?"

Wait did they see through our strategy? but this is bad, no matter how much they studied us i can't do anything on my own our weapons are uselss. They saw through our patterns, my monster quickly came out & pressed down on my shoulders again like last time. Putting his weight on me

"DO IT!!! USE ME!!" 

"Ngh!! N-No!! Go away!!"

"YOU USELESS LITTLE SHIT! YOU NEED ME!"

I shoved him off me & he dissipated when i did, i tried to run across the field with the ball & do it myself but i got blocked by Junichi. It's almost like our plan has been exposed someone must of told them our game play, i was seriously trying not to use my monster for this match unless i desperately need to. So i was trying to play fair & only use the monster as my last resort, wait did.... kuon tell them our plan? earlier today i saw him smiling. No, that can't be right. Why would he do that? if team z loses it's all over for us so what would he gain from that? but all the points from this match are connected to kuon someohow. The ball went over to kuon & i swear he missed that on purpose, junichi got the ball once more when he did & he scored a point. I was running across the field but i suddenly stopped infront of kuon, my body froze up & tensed up i felt my heart racing & my mind went blank again.

"Kuon.... you're.... betraying team z aren't you.....?"

The twin brothers then got my attention.

"That's right! they figured it out kuon so i can say this now right? he leaked all of you're strategies, all of you're weapons & you're weaknesses. He approached us in the dinning hall last night, after sneaking out of you're meeting. This whole thing was Kuon's idea"

I felt my breathing accelerate, Team Z immediately got shocked upon hearing that too & my monster suddenly came out again putting his weight on me once more & pressing down on my shoulds, He started digging his claws into my shoulders & grinning widely, his glowing red eyes were gazing down upon me.

"SATISFIED NOW!? HE WAS THE TRAITOR ALL ALONG & YOU REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT!!!"

No this is a joke right? he has to be lying, kuon betrayed us & his helping them instead. My breathing got even faster & the monster grinned even bigger as he leaned down towards me & came really close to my face, i could feel the rage & dark impulse take over me when he did that. How did the monster know he was a traitor though? could he see things i can't see with my eyes?.

"Kill him, you don't need him, he betrayed you. Let me take a hold of that anger & i'll devour him for you. Let me consume you & possess you"

"............."

Kunigami & everyone else tried to get my attention when they suddenly saw me start to hyperventilate even bachira saw it but i think he was noticing the monster more then my surrounding, because the monster was all over me & quite big. So it's hard to miss or ignore it.

"My lIttle monster..... easy, just take a breather come on, the monster is all over her. Fuck his alot bigger then before, is he feeding off her? his grown bigger then the last time i saw him...."

"Yuki? Hey!! what do we do about him now?"

"Wait what's wrong with her? Oi! Yuki! somebody check up on her!!"

My monster growled loudly blocking my hearing, he grabbed my face tightly & forced me to look at kuon. The voices in my head started to get louder & louder i coulnd't hear bachira's voices or anyone for that matter.

"Kill him. He betrayed you & his making you lose the game, get rid of him permantely. You only need to win & forget about everything else"

"But...... i'll get..... a red card........ i..... will get....... dis...qualified...."

He suddenly snapped & roared at me loudly it made me jolt up a bit & get startled due to how loud it was, he completely ignored the fact that if i did what he says i'll get a red card & get disqualified. He provoked me & forced my negative impulses into my body, not caring about anything else. His sadistic & sinister behavior was taking over me & i was losing cotrol of it.

"DO IT!!!!!! KILL HIM!!!! IF YOU WON'T DO IT THEN I WILL!!!! HIS MINE!!!"

He suddenly took over my body & forced my impulses out i let out a loud grunt & immediately walked over to him, my heart started racing fast & my mind went blank. My eyes were glowing brightly red & the monster started laughing loudly, feeding me the desire to kill & hit him. I grabbed kuon by his shirt tightly lifting him up from the ground i clenched my fist tight & went to swing at his face with full force but it wasn't me it was the monster doing that, everyone immediately screamed at me to stop loudly but i couldn't hear them, kuon flinched & grabbed my arm trying to get away from me.

"Wait dont Yuki!!"

"No Stop!! Don't do it!!"

"DO IT!!!!!"

The monster started laughing loudly & grew larger feeding himself off my impulse & anger blocking my hearing entirely, but before i could even hit kuon somone quickly grabbed me from behind very tightly & pulled me back, they made me stumbled backwards & fall down to the ground i fell on to they're lap as they took a hold of my arms & body preventing me from moving. They were holding me really tight.

"Wait!!! my little monster!!! calm down!!! don't do that!!! Hey!!!"

My breath got shaky & hitched when i noticed who it was.

"Ba...chira.....?"

"I'm here, breath my little monster just take a deep breath. Don't let him control you, don't feed him you're anger. His taking over you're body & provoking you, don't let him do that!"

"YOU!!!! YOU'RE A MONSTER TOO!!! WHY ARE YOU STOPPING ME!?! WE ARE THE SAME!!"

"The fuck we are, you're nothing like me & you're not taking my yuki so fuck off!!"

"KILL HIM!!! HIS A TRAITOR!!"

"i SAID NO! stop trying to force her into killing you sadistic bitch... you're going to get her disqualified!"

"I DONT CARE!! MOVE!!!!"

The monster growled at bachira & tried to shove him off me but since he can't physically touch another person, he only sended a gust of wind his way & made him slide backwards on the grass a little he grunted when he felt that wind force agaisnt him. He quickly adjusted his arms & wrapped them around my stomach & held me close to his body refusing to let go of me when he slidded back a little. He leaned & brought his face over my shoulder & looked into my eyes. He wrapped his legs around me in a circle keeping me seated on his lap.

"Hey!! come back to me, my little monster. It's okay, i'm not afraid, i'm not going anywhere. I'm right here, look at me please. My precious little yuki~ please.... i don't want to lose you..."

My hands started shaking & i felt my breath get shaky again, i looked over to bachira & immediately my emotion suddenly started rising & coming out, i started weeping but was forcing myself not to cry. Bachira let out a soft sigh of relief when he saw it & nuzzled my cheek trying to comfort me & calm me, he hugged me tighter & just held me close not letting go, the monster dissapated after bachira was able to bring me back & calm me again. Everyone quickly jogged up to me with a worried look on they're faces.

"Shit Yuki!! are you okay!?"

"The hell where you thinking!!"

"Woah yuki..."

"Damn...."

The whistle suddenly blew loudly & the judges spoke through the speaker.

"Yuki Kisune Yellow Card!!!"

Immediately bachira growled loudly upon hearing that.

"Fuck No!!! She didn't hit him!! It wasn't her fault!!"

"Still counts as a yellow card unfortunately, because she tried to..."

"Aw man yuki, you can't be doing that. You're gonna get kicked off the game..."

I immediately growled loudly & grunted, my anger took over again & i tried to walk to kuon but bachira quickly grabbed me by my stomach again & stopped me pulling me back down to his lap. Keeping me there by force.

"WHY DID YOU TO THAT YOU FUCKING BASTARD!!!!! I THOUGHT WE WERE A TEAM!!!! HE WAS RIGHT YOU ARE A FUCKING TRAITOR!!! I SHOULD FUCKING KILL YOU!!"

"Wait he..? He who...?"

"Me, i told her about it, dammit yuki stop!!"

"Oh..."

Bachira quickly answered, they don't know about my monster so he quickly avoided for them to find out about it. I tried to get off from bachira's arms but he had a tight grip on me, i put my hands over his trying to make him let go of me, he put his legs forward on the ground slidding himself backwards along with me & away from kuon.

"Yuki stop!! you're going to get disqualified! Hey!!"

"I'm just doing everything i can to stay in blue lock...."

Kunigami & everyone else started freaking out because i was really mad & wanted to hit him, they were trying to calm me down along with bachira.

"Wait what the hell are you talking about?"

"Why... would you betray us? if we lose it's over for you & the rest of us, so what's the point of losing on purpose?"

Kuon got back up & took the soccer ball, he put his feet over it.

"You're the idiots... if we lose the only ones going home are you guys, i'll be the one who stays behind. From now on we'll be playing 12 on 10, i'm not longer part of yours yuki"

He kicked the ball over to the other team & stood with them.

"You bastard!!!!"

"Yuki stop, i know you're angry & so are we but i don't want you to get kicked off the game so please calm down, hey look at me! don't let him come out again!"

Bachira grabbed my face & forced me to look at him, he was doing everything he could to calm me down & keep me in place, he brushed his thumb against my cheek. They paused the game for a moment because i was freaking out & losing it, plus bachira was holding me down otherwise this match would of ended & i would of been sent home if it wasn't for him stopping me.

"Breath my little monter, hey you know i love you right? don't let anger consume you, we gotta play the game together & make scores remember? i can't do it if you're not with me, i need you to be here.... with me"

My breathing eventually went back to normal & found myself just falling back agaisnt bachira, my back got pressed agaisnt his body & i stopped shaking. I felt bachira's body relaxed itself again after mines did, his hands dropped down to my weist as he held me close to him, i brought my hands up & covered my face for a moment as i weeped once more but didnt cry.

"There's my little yuki~ now just relaxed & take a deep breath"

"......... I failed....."

"Stop, no you haven't yet, hey come on give me the smile i adore so much. We can still make this work, just please don't get kicked out of blue lock. I can't play soccer or make a future without you, i need you to be with me for us to do that."

"Bachira....."

"Yes my little monster?~"

"Thanks...."

"Hehehe~ Of course! i'll always be here for you my little precious monster~"

I exhaled deeply & rubbed my face with my hands, bachira took my wrists & moved my hands away as he brought his face close to mines.

"I said smile my little monster not get sad, so give me one~"

He crashed his lips intop mines kissing me deeply & made me stumble on the ground because he put his weight on me we landed we a thud, he pressed his body on top of mines, i yelp in surprise when he did that. The whistle blew loudly again & called out to bachira.

"Meguru Bachira & Kisune Yuki please resume the game"

Bachira broke the kiss after a while & grunted he pouted his cheeks he kept himself above me though & didn't more yet.

"You're no fun....."

I honestly couldn't help but snicker & shuckle, bachira noticed & heard it which made him shuckle in response too, he smiled lovingly at me. He was happy that i was calmed again & came back to him.

"Yay~ there it is!~"

He giggled softly under his breath sticking his tongue out at me playfully & kissed me cheek, he got up & took my hand helping me stand back up as well. Everyone went back to they're positions after bachira calmed me down, the game resume once more. I honestly lost my entire compure earlier & almost got kicked out of blue lock so i have to focus on the game & score us a goal without getting kicked, i'm thankful to bachira for saving me but now it's time to turn this game around. The twins rushed towards us once the game had resume, kuon kept talking to me though while the game was being player.

"In our last game when you managed to barely win for us i realized, that this team which can only win by the skin of it's teeth. Has very low odds of winning the remaining matches, team z's last match in the rotation is the only team with 2 vitories. That's why i gave up on trying to advance as part of a team & decided to do it by myself"

"..... By Yourself?"

"Did you forget already? ego told us about the special rule, for the first selection tournament. For those on team that don't make it to the top 2, the one with the most goals on each team still gets to advance. That's why i made a deal with team w in exchange for giving them info on our team & 3 victory points, they'd let me score 3 goals"

"You bastard! what about how hard we fought together until now!? you said you wanted to win together!"

"Thank you yuki, i'm glad you were so stupid. You're to naive, this is blue lock remember? you don't need bonds or teamwork all that's neccessary for winning is you're ego, winning even if it means betrayal. That's what my ego looks like"

Team W scored another point, getting past everyone & scoring yet another point. I inhaled deeply & clenched my fist tight, but i didn't lose it again this time, he betrayed us & his now teaming up with team w. His a fucking bastard, i really wanted to beat the crap out of him but i guess i can't in this field otherwise i'll get another card.

"Thanks for the help.... Team Z!"

I can't believe this is happening, bachira jogged up to me once more he intertwined his hand into mines holding it tightly. He pressed his lips agaisnt the back of it & placed his other free hand on his hip as he leaned himself to the side a bit, he was sweaty due to all the running we were doing.
