It's Thanksgiving morning and the ladies are up preparing thanksgiving dinner while the men are watching the game.

Andi: Well I see somebody had them a good time last night.

Fatima: Who me? ( smiles )

Andi: Don't act like you don't know what and who I'm talking about. Hell them marks on your neck says it all.

Aisha: Right!!

Fatima: I had a time last night.

Andi: Oh we can see.

Fatima: I think last night was the litest I've been in a long time. I literally went through 3 1/2 bottles and we were on them edibles too. I'm surprised my ass able to function right now.

Andi: Hell who you telling. And yes them edibles were straight pressure..

Aisha: I know I had at least 3

Fatima: Nah fr. I can't even tell you how many I had. I stop counting after 3

Ava: Gigi can we help cook.

Anita: Ofc Gigi girls. Go wash your hands.

The girls went to wash their hands.

Jackie: Nita girl they make me want grandkids

Anita: They definitely keeps you young.

Aisha: Shayla and Liah, do y'all want kids?

Shayla: One day I do. I'm trying to finished this last year of med school and hopefully start looking for a place of my own.

Aisha: I feel you on that. What about you liah?

Liah: Same. Only I got 2 years left of med school.

Aisha: Do y'all plan on moving or staying in Philly?

Shayla: I wanna move away, but I'm not sure of where yet.

Liah: I'm not sure either.

Fatima: Well at least y'all have a plan and going about it the right way. Y'all working while going to school is a good thing.

Jackie: I told them both, stay home and focus on finishing school. That way, by the time they graduate med school, they would have saved up enough money to get their own place.

Fatima: That's the same thing mom did with us. She didn't force us out the house. But I got into a relationship and decided to leave home before I finished law school. It was hard for a min but I pushed through.

Aisha: You were also stubborn and never wanted to depend on anyone, even if it was mom and dad.

Fatima: That's true. They've had already done so much already, I didn't want to continue to take from them. So I worked my way through school, and by me working while in high school, I was able to pay my way through college. I didn't want to have to come to them for nothing.

Anita: That's definitely true, she didn't want nobody doing anything for her.

Fatima: I learned dependency at a young age, you and dad taught me that. Because when you depend on someone to do something, then that's when you get disappointed and you get let down. Or that's when the judgement comes.

Andi: I was the same way for a long time. After my mom passed, all I had was myself. I learned the true meaning of survival at a young age. The journey is always going to be a fight, but you can't give in and give up on everything you fought so hard to achieve and accomplish.

Danni: At my big age I'm learning what I like. I spent most of my life in darkness fighting. And when I met my husband, he taught me how to live and be free. And even today, I'm still fighting but also overcoming difficulties. I have a daughter and everything I do here on out is for her. I don't want her to ever want for anything.
