It's Not Good

Anita: Hey son where are you?

Zac: I'm here with wife, about to head back to work. Everything okay?

Anita: The babies are fine. But I need you to listen to me real carefully.

Zac: Okay, what is it?

Anita: Don't let her know I'm on the phone. But I need you to get your wife and take her home. Aisha has been in an are accident, I don't know her condition yet, but Fatima can not find out about this yet. She will loose her mind, so I need you to please not tell her until we know the conditions.

Zac: Okay I gotcha.

Anita: I will call you back as soon as I know something.

Zac: Okay then.

They hung up.

Fatima: What's going on?

Zac: On nothing, my client just called and canceled out on me. So I don't have to go back to work, I can go home with you.

Fatima: Oh okay. I thought something was wrong.

Zac: Nah everything's good.

As much as Zac hated lying to her, he knew that keeping her calm was more important in this moment. Then telling her the truth and she blanks out.

Fatima: Well let's go then.

Fatima got her things and they left.

Fatima: What's up bro. Why y'all standing out here like that. And why y'all looking at me like that?

Andi: No reason, hubby was just leaving.

Fatima: I didn't even know you were here.

Andi: Cuz y'all to busy being grown.

Fatima: I'm fucking weak. I told you that we were just having lunch. Nothing sexual happened in my office today. That was all you mamas.

Andi: Anyways what y'all about to do?

Fatima: Head home.

Andi: Well call me when you make it home.

Fatima: Okay I will.

Zac and Fatima left the law firm.

Zac: Baby what you want for dinner tonight?

Fatima: I want some Jamaican food.

Zac: What kind of Jamaican food?

Fatima: I want some oxtails, peas, and rice with cabbage.

Zac: That sounds good to me.

Fatima: I need a nap first tho.

Zac: We can go home get settled, rest a lil. And I'll go pick it up about 7

Fatima: Perfect

30 mins later they make it home and went inside the house.

Zac. What's going on pops

Fatima: Hey dad I see mama left you to babysit.

James: She had to run somewhere at the last minute.

Fatima: Well how were they with you?

James: They were good.

Fatima: That's good.

Over at the hospital

Doctor: Family of Aisha Wilson.

Anita: That's me.

Doctor: And you are?

Anita: Her mother.

Doctor: Okay right this way.

They went into the conference room.

Anita: What is going on with my daughter?

Doctor: Well she just got out of surgery. And she''s stable.

Anita: Surgery?

Doctor: Mrs.Wilson I need you to stay calm down. So I can explain.

Aisha: How can I be calm when my daughter is laying in the hospital bed in Lords know what conditions.

Doctor: I get that but I need you to stay calm.

Anita calms down

Anita: Okay I'm calm

Doctor: Mrs.Wilson we ran into some complications while delivering the baby, and had to place Aisha into a Medical induced coma. Aisha suffered from a head injury along with 3 cracked ribs. The baby is on a ventilator and is being monitored. She came in weighing under 3lbs 2oz.

Anita: Doc, are they going to be okay?

Doctor: Mrs.Wilson, it's up to them to keep fighting. Right now all we can do is pray for them. But the person who was in the car with her, risk her life protecting both Aisha and the baby.

Anita: What do you mean?

Doctor: The other woman that was in the car. She shielded Aisha from what could have been worse case scenario.

Anita: Who was it?

Doctor: Sorry we can't give out that information.

Anita: Was the woman name Faith?

Darius runs in.

Darius: Mama ( hugs her )

Anita: Son ( breaks down )

Darius: Mama it's going to be okay.

Doctor: I'll give y'all a min

Anita: Wait Doctor. Was the woman Faith?

Doctor: Again ma'am we can't give out that information.

Anita: Well can you at least say if she's going to make it?

Doctor: We're doing all that we can to save her.

Anita: Okay, thank you.

Doctor: You're welcome.

The doctor leaves.

Anita: Darius, I know it's Faith, and she has to make it. Or we going to not only have your sister losing her mind but Andi as well.

Darius: I know mama. Does Ti know?

Anita: She doesn't. But Jordan and Zac knows. We just didn't know that Faith was with her.

Darius: Well I'm going to do everything that I can to save her.

Anita: Why something always have to happen in the midst of happiness.

Darius: It's just the way life goes mama

Anita: Well son get to work and I will update everyone on what's happening.

Darius: Okay mama. I love you

Anita: I love you too son.

Darius went to OR to see about Faith.
