'Regret' was the number one word San used to describe his night out. He was hoping his hangover would only last for a morning, but it continued throughout the weekend. Giving his students a due date of Saturday, his goal was to complete grading over a hundred essays before the school week began. He kept the offer of help in mind, but he knew his friends were struggling just as bad as he was.
"Are you kidding me?" San mumbled.
At first, he believed the paper was lost. But then he remembered everything is now online. What this meant was that there was a student who either didn't turn in their essay, or simply didn't do it at all.
And with the track record Jung Wooyoung has in his class lately, he knew the answer.
"What is with this kid?" He went to his grade book to see if the student was failing, but to his surprise, he had a passing grade.
San figured he'd play Mr. Nice Guy like always and email him to see why he didn't hand in his assignment.
San shrugged, feeling like it was a proper email. He was stern but understanding. Now he just needs to wait for a response.
An obnoxious knock on his door took him out of his focused thoughts and nearly scared him half to death. The loud sound didn't help much with his pounding headache either.
"What are you doing here?" San groaned, letting his close friend inside his house.
"I finished my work, I figured you'd need help." Seonghwa smiled sweetly.
"Is that all?" San knew there was definitely another reason as to why he showed up unannounced.
"We have to go back to Cyberpunk." He quickly replied, completely shifting away from the calm mood he was just in moments ago.
"And why is that?"
"I didn't get Hongjoong's fucking number." He stressed.
"So you got free drinks all night and made out with the guy, but somehow managed to forget that?"
"I'm an idiot, I know. But now I'm scared."
"Why?"
"Because what if that was nothing to him and he just wanted to have fun? I'm the one out here who's obsessed and in love."
"It's been two days."
"So?"
"Fine, we'll go again Friday."
"No, we're going tonight."
"Absolutely not. It's a school night and I haven't finished grading my essays."
"Hold that thought." Seonghwa rushed out of the front door, then came back with his laptop. "I knew you'd say that so I also came to help. How many do you have left?"
"Maybe around fifty?"
"Now you have around twenty five. How great is that?"
"You're a gem, Seonghwa." San smiled.
