San had never been so grateful for the choices he made the night before. Although he was a bit tired, he wasn't hungover like Seonghwa.

"Alright, class." He clasped his hands together, ready to start his lecture. "Everyone's papers have been graded and returned. Overall, good job. But I'd like to discuss turning your work in on time." Of course the person who was meant to hear this the most was thirty minutes late, about to miss everything. "I'd say I'm rather generous with my deadlines. I give you plenty of time."

The door busted open with a frantic student rushing inside.

"Sorry." He mumbled, then took his seat in the back of the room. Taking attendance earlier, San knew it was Wooyoung. Hopefully he had a good explanation.

Professor Choi continued on with his lecture, keeping a close eye on Wooyoung. The student tried his best to pay attention, but ultimately fell asleep with his cheek pressed against the palm of his hand. At first, San thought he was just bored, unable to see his full face because of the hood over his head. But once Wooyoung's wrist slipped and his face slammed onto the desk counter, he figured it out.

He gave the class a fifteen minute break. While students were relieved to have some time to relax, San used it to see if Wooyoung actually handed in his essay.

6:30am. Very nice.

But San knew that meant his student stayed up all night just to finish it. He appreciated Wooyoung's efforts, despite being late.

When he looked through, he nodded in approval. The format was correct, it met the page requirements, there were plenty of citations, and his vocabulary was exceptional. If it was handed in on time, he probably would've given the student a perfect score.

After quickly grading the essay, San chose to use the remaining three minutes of the break as a chance to text his fellow professor.

San
How's your hangover?

Seonghwa
Hongjoong bought me food so I've been saved

San
He came to the school?????

Seonghwa
No we went out for an early breakfast because I stayed the night

San
How was that

Seonghwa
Try and take me seriously when I say this

But I truly believe this is love at first sight

San
I believe you

Seonghwa
Okay your turn now :)

When San looked up from his phone, he looked around the classroom he thought to be empty. Only to find a sleeping Wooyoung still in his seat with his head down. He debated whether or not he should talk to him, but his students came back in on time.

He chose to leave his sleeping student be for the rest of the lecture, aware of the time the essay was handed in. The professor knew how hard Wooyoung worked just to make up for his lack of time management. Not to mention, they were meant to speak afterwards anyway.

An hour passed, and Wooyoung was still in a deep sleep. Late work nights and slaving away to write the best essay of his life took a lot out of him.

"Hey." San tapped his shoulder only for Wooyoung to jolt awake.

"I'm sorry."
