Monday was a new day, although not much had changed.
Seonghwa and Hongjoong weren't speaking, Mingi disappeared, and Wooyoung made sure not to look at his professor the entire lecture.
The student was struggling to stay focused. There was no doubt he had a minor concussion. Who knew a beer bottle could cause so much damage?
Instead of getting his wound bandaged, he figured makeup, along with brushing his hair over it, would hide it well. He didn't want to take any chances.
Funny how the professor did the same. He earned himself a giant cut right above his left eyebrow. That's what he gets for fighting with a drunk.
"You know the drill with essays." Professor Choi said to his class. "MLA format, six pages, at least ten references. It's due on Saturday, they will be graded on Sunday, then returned to you on Monday. Got it?" Everyone nodded. "Good. Class dismissed."
Instead of stopping to talk to the professor like always, Wooyoung walked right past him. San was confused but also saddened by this. He was about to call out to the student.
But then he saw it.
The tattoo.
San took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes to see if he was imagining things, but Wooyoung was already gone.
The professor slowly sat down in his chair, feeling sick to his stomach. He started to piece things together, trying to figure out whether he was losing his mind or if his sudden theory was true.
Is Jet...Wooyoung?
"No, I'm going crazy." San said to himself. "There's no way." The only similarity he discovered between the two was physical. Their personalities were entirely different. "Wait, what the hell am I stressing about? He's a delivery driver."
San took a deep breath and smiled, feeling a bit of relief.
But that didn't stop his curiosity.
He got up from his desk and made his way to Yunho's class. He knew Wooyoung was there. If he didn't see what the rest of that tattoo was, he wouldn't be able to sleep.
"Hello?" Professor Jeong smiled, surprised to see his friend. "Need something?"
"Wooyoung, can I speak with you?" San ignored his coworker and looked directly at his student.
"Okay." He mumbled, getting up from his seat and walking outside. "Yeah?" There was a shift in the way Wooyoung would normally treat the professor, and San noticed immediately.
"Turn around."
"Huh? Why?"
"Please."
"Tell me why first."
"Wooyoung." He grit through his teeth, feeling that pit in his stomach grow stronger.
"Okay." Slowly, the student turned around.
"Take your sweatshirt off."
"Wh-"
"Do it."
And so he did.
"Oh my god." San whispered.
I'm never alone and I will never be
Wooyoung turned back around with a straight face and glossy eyes.
"I'm sorry." The student whispered. San reached his hand up to Wooyoung's forehead and carefully moved his hair away to reveal the mark left by the beer bottle. "San, I can exp-"
