A week had passed, and nothing but bad news had come Wooyoung's way. He went to every single elementary school in Seoul, but no one wanted to hire San because of what happened. But he wasn't going to give up. Especially not with Christmas being right around the corner.
Yunho was also trying his best to find an open position for the former English professor as well. But it was difficult because he was getting offered a job instead. He'd work at Cyberpunk before getting employed at another school.
"What's up?" San asked, noticing Wooyoung was deep in thought.
"Hongjoong wants me to go to the club tonight for 'training purposes' and I don't want to."
"Come on, don't be lazy." He teased.
"Me? I'm still blind in one eye. You expect me to go back to work?"
"Youngie, your eye is wide open. You can see just fine."
"Blind!" Wooyoung dramatically said, pointing to his fading bruise.
"Come here." San pulled him close as they laid comfortably on the couch.
Neither of them knew how to define their situation. They cuddled in the same bed nearly every night, but never kissed. They called each other 'Sannie' and 'Wooyoungie', but wouldn't dare to use 'baby'. But one thing they knew was that they were both healing.
"You know how I went to that job interview?"
"Yeah, what ever happened with that?"
"I didn't get the job." Wooyoung, for whatever reason, found that to be hilarious.
"Why?"
"My resume was lacking."
"That's so dumb."
"How do you even get a job nowadays?"
He thought it would be a perfect way to ask for advice. Not for himself, but for the person giving it.
"I've learned that handing in your resume shows a lot of promise."
"In person?"
"Yeah, it shows you're more serious about the job."
"Is it possible to get a job without being interviewed?"
"Not really. People can check all the boxes, but it won't matter if they don't mix well with that crowd."
"That's disappointing."
"You have a great personality though. You'd fit in anywhere in my opinion."
"What about you?"
"Me?" San paused, not thinking too highly of himself. "I'm having a hard time believing I belong anywhere right now, if I'm being honest with you."
"Have you tried looking for other jobs?"
"Not really."
Although it shouldn't be, hearing that was a relief to Wooyoung. He wanted to be the one to find San his new job.
"Why not?"
"Because I'm still discouraged. I guess that sounds a little pathetic though."
"No, I wouldn't say so. Teaching is your passion, right?"
"I'm not really sure." San sighed.
"Well, if you got your dream teaching job, would you take it?"
"Of course I would."
"Don't beat yourself up, Sannie. Your life isn't over yet."
"Still kinda feels like it."
"Well, at least you're not alone." Wooyoung was hoping that would be encouraging.
