"Why is it that you always think I've done something? I never hurt that of my own blood.
Ah but you see, Maxwell here has taken quite the liking to you shining twinkling stars. My youngest brother has never gotten to see pure angels, let alone the seven deadly sins themselves and finally got to meet them at last. I must thank you all for making his wish come true." Achernar raked a hand through his hair, taking out a hankie and coughing into it. When he spoke it sounded like he was croaking, his voice all hoarse. All of that talking and explaining must have made the demon even more tired than he already was.
Maxwell ran over to hug his eldest brother, now smiling, and not crying anymore, while looking up at Leigh with curiosity. "Big bro Archie!" The demon smiled as he winced, patting his younger brother on the head. "Come now Maxie, meet your second oldest brother Leigh." Achernar put a hand on Leigh's shoulder, introducing his half brothers to each other. "Leigh, say hello." Leigh bent down and brought his hand out to shake Maxwell's. "Hello Maxwell, it's a pleasure to meet you after all this time. Wish I'd gotten to know you sooner." Maxwell shook his hand back. "Hehe! Me too!" The youngest brother of the half demon siblings started running all over the place excitedly.
The stars couldn't help but smile. Even demons shared love for one another it seemed. "Maxwell let us go back. We don't want to run into our father now, the big bad wolf." Achernar got up from where he was sitting, staggering over to open the door to the entrance. This caught Maxwell's attention as he ran to take his eldest brother's hand. "Bad! Noo! Let's leave now!"
"You can come with us too, Leigh if you'd like to get to know our youngest brother better." Achernar coughed into his arm, blood splattering his clothing. "Big bro hurt?" Maxwell flung himself at Achernar who picked him up, giving the boy a piggyback ride. "Not at all dear Maxie. Let us move along. Would you like to travel through the shadows or go trick or treating some more?" Achernar was panting now as he hoisted his younger brother over his shoulders. "Yay! I fly now! Want more candy!" Maxwell grabbed Achernar's ears and ran his hands all over his oldest brother's hair.
The full blooded demon didn't seem to mind even though it looked as though he had a massive headache from the efforts of trying to entertain this young child who just so happened to be his and Leigh's youngest half sibling. "Let's go," Leigh took Maxwell from Achernar, carrying the youngest by letting him pretend to soar and fly in the air. "Yipee!" Maxwell threw his hands up, kicking his feet and doing Superman's pose. "See you guys." Leigh said.
"Bye bai!" Maxwell waved to the stars, the only one out of all the stars seeming very happy on Halloween. The stars waved back to the adorably innocent and harmless child. Achernar let out a breath he'd been holding and smiled at them. "Thank you very much my dears for looking after Max. I'll greatly reward you all some other time." The demon began coughing as he closed the door behind him, disappearing along with his siblings through the shadows of Achernar's darkness. "Wow. It's been one hell of a Halloween and the day isn't even over yet," Tiaki massaged the temples of his head. "I've a migraine. Don't bother waking me up." Aljanah lay down on the couch and went straight back to sleep.
