"Excuse me? Do I know you?.."
Jungkook stood there dumbfounded, looking at the man sitting on the bench.
"W-what?" he said breathlessly. Was he losing his mind? Did he imagined the whole thing? "I-I'm sorry.. my mistake," he said in an apologetic voice and turned to leave.
The man burst out laughing and Jungkook felt even more lost than before.
"Oh, you're really easy to tease. If you could only see the look on your face," the man kept laughing and the sound of his laughter was sending waves of calm towards Jungkook who at this point didn't know if he wanted to get angry or laugh from embarrassment.
Frustration was evident on his face.
"Ah, I'm sorry for teasing you. I think we really started on a wrong note the other night."
The man got up and walked towards Jungkook who took a step back still trying to make sense of the other's behaviour.
"Hi, my name is Taehyung. I'm sorry if I was a bit blunt last time. Would you like to sit with me?" he said, extending his hand for a handshake.
Taehyung..He finally had a name for the man that haunted his dreams for almost a week.
Jungkook eyed Taehyung's extended arm and then his eyes travelled to his face. He was at a loss for words. The man's behaviour was completely different from last time. He was friendly and emanated warmth.
"I'm Jungkook," the younger said, offering his hand reluctantly. Taehyung took it in his and shook it before releasing it.
Jungkook felt his skin tingle at the place that the elder had touched him.
"Please," Taehyung said, gesturing towards the bench.
Jungkook kept his eyes on him as he slowly moved to sit down. Taehyung came and sat next to him, keeping a respectable distance between them.
"Jungkook," Taehyung's smooth voice made Jungkook flinch as he turned to look at him.
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry to ask you again but I need to know," the elder's body was turned to the right, fully facing Jungkook. "Did you by any chance take a photo of me the other night?"
Jungkook stared at him.
"You see, I was in a situation that I wouldn't like to be seen by others so if there is a photo of it, that could create a big problem. I hope you understand what I'm saying," Taehyung's tone was dripping honey, just like his voice. It almost felt condescending as if he was talking to a child.
Jungkook looked at him, studying his face. His smile looked innocent but his eyes held something else. There was a darkness in them and they were weighing Jungkook as if calculating what his next move was going to be.
"No I didn't take a photo of you," Jungkook replied dryly.
"Phew, that's a relief," Taehyung chuckled, turning to look at the landscape in front of them.
"What were you doing there anyway," Jungkook asked regretting it immediately. He knew what Taehyung was doing. It wasn't really hard to figure out the situation he was in, he got the picture...the metaphorical one at least.
Taehyung turned again to look at him, scanning him up and down, amusement decorating his face.
"Let's say I was meeting my needs," Taehyung hinted. "You know how it is," he chuckled, winking at the younger.
"Not really," Jungkook muttered, feeling heat rise to his cheeks, not knowing if it was from the sudden confession or from the elder's wink.
"Really?" Taehyung's eyebrows rose at the younger's reply. "Oh come on Jungkook. You want me to believe that a handsome guy like you doesn't get any action?" he laughed wiggling his eyebrows.
