The whole scene looked a little too familiar with Taehyung sitting on the desk chair and Jungkook sitting on the bed but the energy of the room was completely different compared to last night. Taehyung was looking at the floor, his whole demeanour looking more reserved compared to his suave, arrogant self.
Jungkook cleared his throat. " I'm waiting.."
The elder looked up at him, smiling softly. "How do you feel concerning what I told you about myself last night?"
"About you being a vampire?"
"Yes."
"I don't know," Jungkook shrugged.
"Do you know what exactly it is that I am?"
"I don't know, you suck blood and I can kill you with a wooden stake?", Jungkook replied almost indifferently.
Taehyung chuckled. Jungkook looked like a kid that was asked a serious question but didn't understand the heaviness the words really held.
"It's a bit more complicated than that."
"The explain it to me," Jungkook demanded raising his head to impose a more assertive tone.
"So demanding.." Taehyung commented with a small chuckle that came from the back of his throat.
"Explain.." Jungkook repeated, lowering his head and looking Taehyung dead in the eyes.
"First things first, let's start from the fact that I used to be a human and then because of circumstances, I was turned to what I am now. Yes, I feed off blood which I get from humans. I never kill them. I get just enough to sustain myself and I then have them forget about me and move on with their lives."
"Is that what you did to my friend?"
Taehyung grunted recalling the incident he wasn't proud of. "Kind of..", he muttered.
"Why him?"
"What do you mean..", Taehyung asked awkwardly.
"I mean, why him? I don't have you for someone who will find a random person in the street and decide to go for it. Do you know him? Have you met him before?"
"No.. It- it kind of just happened," Taehyung mumbled.
"How? You know me better than you do him. Why didn't you try with me? Don't I look delicious enough?", Jungkook scoffed.
Taehyung felt cornered but thankfully he was quick on his feet. "In my defence I did try with you. I mean look at you, you are a snack. But you kept keeping me at a distance for some reason, playing hard to get," Taehyung smirked, a shift evident in his eyes, as he looked at Jungkook up and town and licked his lips.
A pink hue dusted the boy's cheeks at the sound of the elder's words and he looked away for a moment trying to pull himself together. Being affected by Taehyung's words wasn't the plan. "Go on..", he muttered.
Satisfaction filled Taehyung for managing to break a little of Jungkook's armour. He needed to get him in a more relaxed and submissive state for his plan to work.
"Besides what I mentioned, I cannot walk in daylight. I'm not going to turn to ashes but I will become weak and eventually I won't be able to walk and if I do stay there long enough, I'll die," Taehyung continued with his explanation.
"Is that why you left?", Jungkook asked searching for Taehyung's eyes.
"Yes.."
"Just for that..?", Jungkook insisted.
Taehyung scratched the back of his head dragging his eyes away from Jungkook. "I'm.. I'm not used to.."
"Decency? Manners? Caring?", Jungkook cut him off. He crossed his arms and kept looking at Taehyung.
