Since Taehyung's, let's call it change of lifestyle, so many years ago, many things became different for him.

The first thing that changed was his choice to stay away from people. He would approach them to feed and once he was done he would go back to his own kind. The line was clear for him. The living belonged with the living except for the few times he needed to borrow them for a small blood donation.

He never got involved with humans. There was no point to it anyway. They were so much weaker, almost fragile, they couldn't handle him and his tastes. His kind was different. They could be rough without the fear of breaking each other.

Taehyung didn't have to think twice when it came to sex. He enjoyed it thoroughly and he liked the rough side of things. No sentiments, no care, nothing. Just having fun and passing time.

But right there, in that moment, Taehyung felt different. Looking in Jungkook's innocent eyes, brought all sorts of mixed feelings on the surface. He wanted to grab the boy and mess him up while at the same time he wanted to hold him close and tell him that everything was going to be all right. He had never felt so conflicted as far as he could remember. It was utterly confusing and it made him feel unsure of himself.

Taehyung kept staring at the ceiling trying to focus all his attention there but he could feel the younger's stare, burn holes in him. Jungkook practically cooed and Taehyung felt his cute aggression blur his mind.

"Taehyung?" Jungkook whispered.

"Yes?" the elder's voice barely a whisper..

"Can I come closer?" the boy said cutely.

What was Jungkook doing to Taehyung? Where is the annoying part of himself that drove the elder crazy and made him mad? Where were all the defences Jungkook had the past days? The resistance? If that was Jungkook's idea to fight against him then the younger would win the war, no second thoughts.

And suddenly Taehyung felt like he was the one in danger...

--

Jungkook's eyes were fixed on Taehyung. His mind was still in a haze, the whole night feeling like a giant joke.

Jungkook saw the blood, and the wound and Taehyung claimed to be a vampire or whatever but it didn't quite register inside him. All he knew was that he was tired.

Tired of the situation, tired of nothing making sense the past few days, tired of his own boring, flavourless, empty life. At that point he didn't know what was real and what was fake anymore. He wanted some comfort, he wanted someone to hold him and make him feel safe.

And the someone Jungkook wanted was Taehyung. Being next to the elder felt like all his walls were taken down. Taehyung was inviting. All the negative thoughts would vanish when he was around.

Seeing him lie there next to him, only centimetres away, felt surreal.

Jungkook wanted to touch him. Even if Taehyung's claims of being a danger to Jungkook were real, he didn't believe that the elder would hurt him. It didn't feel like it. Taehyung had his chances but Jungkook was still there in one piece.

And furthermore Jungkook was exhausted from fighting his feelings for the elder.

He wanted him, he had finally admitted it to himself.

Even if Taehyung hurt him, it definitely wouldn't hurt more than thinking about him all the time or the pain of feeling alone, right? He thought that he had probably lost his mind surrendering like that.

He had tried finding comfort in others in the same way in desperate situations in the past too. He knew the feeling of emptiness that followed the next day but he promised to himself that one more night wouldn't be such a big deal. What worse could happen?
