I know it won't be easy, but I guess Eres's personality will make it easier for me. It's better to give this contract to a stranger than to someone who knows me and my family. Eres is just perfect for the rule.

My brows furrowed as I read my mother's message on the phone again. She reminded me of tonight's dinner with the family. They want to know Eres, and now I am left with no choice but to woo her again and make amends with her.

"The contract is simple, Eres. You will work as my PA, and our relationship at work is secret. There's no need for them to know that you are my wife." I started the moment I stopped the car and parked it in my designated basement spot. She looked at me in confusion, and I understood that.

"Ano? Are you joking, right?"

"No. I'm not... Come on. I'll show you around." I smiled slightly and stepped out of the car. 

Hindi ko na siya pinagbuksan dahil sa iba si Eres kung kumilos. Mukhang kaya niya namang gawin ang lahat. Nakasunod siya sa akin at distansya ito gaya ng sinabi ko noon, at alam kong madali siyang matuto.

The private elevator in this basement opens, and we step inside together. I tap the gold card attached to my car key, and the elevator moves. We are both quiet as we wait until we finally reach the top.

"Come on in," I invited her as I stepped out first. She was observant as she looked at everything inside this penthouse.

"This is going to be your place temporarily." With open arms, I offered her a living that would suit our arrangement.

"Hindi ka ba umuuwi rito?" Humakbang siya patungo sa sentro at kinuha ang maliit na remote control sa ibabaw ng coffee table.

I stood behind her and observed everything about her physically. It seems like she knows how to use all the technology around this house. Using the remote, she opened the thick curtain of the window, letting in more light. She paused, looked ahead, then whirled around to face me.

"Ganito ba kataas ang lahat dito? Ba't ito ang pinili mo? Hindi ka ba takot sa tuwing tumitingin ka sa baba?" Unang tanong niya. "And by the way, you haven't answer my first question."

I cleared my throat as I strode closer to her. She was looking straight ahead, focused.

"I don't use this space. It's just a spare place for me."

"Really?" she chuckled slightly. "So, hindi ka lang pala engineer, ano? Bilyonaryo ka rin ba?" Pabirong ngiti niya.

"I'm not. Trust me," my brows raised slightly. "In this level and ten more are exclusive to us, Mondragons. The four level above us are owned by my cousins. So, don't worry. Walang magmamatyag sa 'yo rito at walang mga mata na nakaabang sa tuwing pumapasok at lumalabas ka. . . It's safe here."

She slightly nod and went quiet. I pressed my lips together because I didn't know how to add more to our conversation. Hindi ako magaling pagdating sa bagay na ito. Kahit na gusto kong sabihin sa kanya ang lahat ay hindi ko kayang e-kwento sa kanya ang buhay ko. 

It's nonchalant as it is, but that's probably my best trait. I'm far from all my cousins in the business. I have my own private space where I find comfort in things I enjoy. I keep my work separate from my personal life and hobbies, and I prefer it that way.

Hindi ko sila pinagsasama, dahil iba ako. At pagdating sa mga babae ay hindi ako interesado. 

"Hmm..." She crossed her arms and looked at me intently. "You caused a scene in front of your parents yesterday. How do you explain that?"
