Y/n was there, she had to comfort her best friend. "I can't believe she left me, all this for work ?" Kya said. The younger girl wasn't sure of the all story, she tried to understand it but Kya was so overwhelmed that nothing made sense. "We are kids ! Why would she choose her job" Kya tried to understand, she was heartbroken but still tried to understand. "She is that way, to be honest I can't really give you an answer, I didn't even know you both were a things" Y/n said as she chuckled. She tried to act normal and be there for her friends.

They stayed there for a long instant, watching the sky from the window. The world wasn't falling but something felt wrong. Y/n couldn't think straight. "Go to bed, I have to go out for something, i'll be back soon" She said, and then left Kya there in her room.

Y/n rushed to the grocery store, and then went to Lin office. She didn't even bother to knock on the door she just enter. The station was empty, she could see the light coming from Lin office.

"You and Kya were a things ?" You said out of breath. "What happened to hello ?" Lin said as she didn't even bother to look you in the eyes. "Hello, you and kya ?" you repeat. "As you said, we were a thing" her way to be monotone broke you. You stayed there not sure what to asked first. Until you dared to talk. "You kissed me, but you had something with her ? And I have to confort her" Lin just looked at you, she didn't know you would talk about this. "You kissed me" She raised an eyebrow. "I confess to you my feelings, you just stayed there, I kissed you and didn't pushed me away. Why didn't you just say something like "I have a girlfriend" or just stop me" you were out of breath. "I don't know, but Kya know. I told her when you kissed me"

Now you were fully confused. "Do you care to elaborate" by now you enter fully in the room and sat on the sofa. "She was my girlfriend, I told her you kissed me, that I didn't push you away, I explained her how I felt. We didn't broke up because I loved her. I still do, but my job come first" Lin looked at you. "How did you fell about this" You looked at her back. "I didn't hate it, you were my first crush since we were kids. That doesn't me I love you the way I love Kya. I was confused first, scared to love you, scared to cheat, then I understood that I was scared of loosing Kya " She said as her smiled grew, a sad one. "Okay...Why none of you told me about all this. Kya knew I always liked you" Your eyes start tiring up, you always loved Lin. Everyone knew it except her, maybe she never saw it or she just ignored your hint.

"Y/n, I know you wish you were there first, but i'm a terrible girlfriend. I'm the one who asked to keep it quiet." Lin said as she saw you crying, she wished it comfort you to know she wasn't as perfect as everyone thought. It didn't even affect you a bit, you liked her and tonight you had heard that she loved someone else, your bestfriend. "How long have you been with her ?" You wasn't sure if you wanted to know it. "3 years and an half" Lin voice echoed in your head.

You left the room as quick as you could and run to the house. You bring the grocery to Kya's room. "here everything you like" You said and leaved the room.

30 minutes later, Kya joined you in the saloon. "You talked to her ?" You turn around as u were on a chair. "Hm, she loves you but feel like she's an awful girlfriend" you sigh. "She's not" Kya came closer. "Tell that to her"

Kya listened to you, she left the house and talked to Lin. As she explained to you they set up rules. First so Kya doesn't feel too lock and second for Lin to be able balancing work and love.

You were so embarrassed, if Lin had told you she was with Kya you would have feel different. Right no you were just not able to see any of them. You choose to never enter in their relationship again, neither for advice neither for kissing Lin.

She were right, you wished you were there first.
