I have to let go of these feelings
still hanging around
the walls of my heart:
my longing,
my regrets,
my pain,
my hatred
and my affection.
I have to let go of us:
our bickerings,
our little fights,
our high school memories and
our love that did not fully grow
in that certain summer.
I have to completely accept
that Eya and Cross could only
exist inside a modern fairytale.
They will never come out in reality.
I have to completely understand
that a love story can sometimes
be in the form of push and pull,
a vibe of endless toxicity and
a frustrating cycle of addiction
to those 'happy ever after' stories.
