Sometimes, I am reminded
of that certain summer,
way back inside a coffee shop.
You were sitting right before me
and I'm head over heels
with the way your eyes lit up
upon telling me your
childhood memories.
I walked you home before
midnight and you bid me a
a farewell kiss under a porch light.
Darling, that still lingered in my mind,
haunting every corner
of my thoughts.
I remembered you in your
summer's dress on our first date.
I wish I had us crafted
in a frame for you to remain where
my eyes can reach you.
If I had known that this
love would come to an end,
I would have done everything
to make you stay in moments
where you told me,
'I love you, too.'
