IS LOVE HERE TO STAY?

chapter 22

As they turned to face their friend and family the big projector screen filled with a most recent sonogram picture that had showed two fetuses with words written in pink and blue "WE ARE EXPECTING" written underneath. while looking out Sharie and Treymon smiling and both "Yes, It is true. We are expecting twins."  The crowd upon hearing this cheered and sent congratulations to them both. When they left the stage Treymon helped Sharie with the train removal and placed it around her shoulders and the crowd was really amazed at how caring Treymon was to Sharie. They made the rounds to each table and drank their Sparkling Apple cider as they were toasted by the ones at the tables. 

The time had come for the groom to whisk the bride away for their honeymoon to Hawaii and follow it to Japan then to Madrid Spain then home was their itinerary for the following three weeks ahead. 

Kelby was just settling in her seat on the plane to fly home, when she hears "Is this seat taken?" she nods her head no. "Thank you may I sit by you then on this flight" looking up she sees Ethan settling in the seat next to her as he sits down he takes her hand in his " looks like you lost your best friend. I could be your new best friend if you want?" as he raises her hand to kiss the back of it.

"W-What are you doing here? I thought that you would fly home with your parents!" Kelby looking shocked to see Ethan on a commercial flight bound for home.

"No, there is plenty of time for that. I just wanted to make sure you were okay. you left in a hurry after they had left for their trip. So are you okay?" Ethan having concern in his voice when he spoke.

After they arrived at the airport Ethan offered Kelby a ride home as her ride has yet to arrive at the designated time. Kelby slowly agreed to Ethan's offer to ride home with him. She had made the call to her dad and said he had forgot about her coming in today. she said that is okay as Ethan Callsburg-Dakster had offered her a ride home from the airport.

Kelby thanked Ethan for the ride home. she quickly went in to see her dad and how he was doing. Ronnie Neiah was not looking so good as he had started feeling unwell at the time she was to be picked up at the airport. Kelby got her dad into the car and went straight to the hospital and he was admitted to the cardiac unit for a visual observation of his blood pressure and heart rate. Dr. Thurman was notified of Ronnie Neiah being admitted to the hospital for observation. Dr. Thurman immediately went to see Ronnie and left orders for the nurses to follow and for labs to be drawn in accordance for his safety.

Ronnie was talking to Kellby about the construction and the contracts that needed to be signed and fulfilled in accordance to keep the business going. "Kelbs, I am going to retire and let you handle the business fulltime so you can find a partner or we can sell it and you work for someone else. It'll be your choice as to what you want to do." 

Kelby " dad, I have someone in mind to help and bring in as a partner, if you want his name is Garret Fourmaline, he is married and his wife is expecting a baby, I have checked all of his background and his credentials as well and those that have worked in the past say he is a good draft designer as you know I have some draft design ability naturally."

Ronnie "Well by all means have this conversation with him and ask, It couldn't hurt to have someone with a knowledge of how this business works." 

Ethan arrived at the office where the paperwork had started to build up on the desk in the main directors room where his parents work out of, taking the initiative to read the documents and their fine prints of which he could sign off on some, and others required his mom's signature. he had done the ones that he could do without assist from his mom or dad in this area which he knew more about and was now wanting to learn more of what the outcome is on the other contracts and what are the stipulations are and how they need to be applied. After he had finished signing off on the ones he could he drove to the gate house where he now lived. 

Walking into the house, Ethan threw his keys into a fish bowl on the counter along with his wallet where they were kept so he could get to the easy. He had opened up the freezer and took out a portioned meal that was left for him by Kelby, which he had placed there as he knew it would spoil if not frozen immediately before he left for the event with his friend Treymon. Thinking outloud to himself "imagine that Treymon and Sharie finally got it together." Shaking his head, he immediately thought of Kelby on the flight when she looked at him in a dazed look of surprise and shock all over her face, and how she was leaned over on his shoulder sleeping on the flight back. He was feeling a little like he was missing something when she wasn't around, he thought he's ask his dad about this new found feeling he had and hear what he thought about it.

Julia and Erron arrived at home after being away for their two week vacation, they decided to go to the office and compete the paperwork which they thought would be stacked up and behind. When they arrived they found the stack was a small set that required the director's signature only, as well as the stipulations made clear and signed off on. Looking for the rest of the paperwork they had found that Ethan had signed off on the simpler ones that he understood well. After one hour in the office with these contracts and scheduling appointment for Tuesday morning and board meeting in the afternoon for Wednesday Erron Drove Julia home while they stopped by the gate house to see Ethan and how he was faring on the job for the simpler contracts with their outcomes.

Ethan answered his door shocked to see his parent back from their trip he offered them some orange juice to drink. His mom laughed, "Just like when you were little you always wanted orange juice. you said it was your favorite drink. So how did your week go for the smaller contracts?"

Ethan looking at his dad and then to his mom not expecting to discuss business at home "UGH it went well and the Conglomerate Corporation signed yesterday with us to drill on their land and stipulations were to keep the drive and water pond clean and not trash the place and when we leave after setting tank batteries replace the area with fresh grass and make sure the road and the area around the drill site can be restored if unsuccessful. Pretty much cut and dry for that one." as Ethan sipped on his OJ.
