IS LOVE HERE TO STAY?

chapter 10

Once they got Ethan settled in the large master bedroom on the king size bed with the down comforter that was mad by his great grandma Dakster it was surprising to see that his fingers flinched as if he were in pain and the noise made him squinch his eyes as he slowly opened them to see that his parents and Kelby was there with him.

Ethan could barely mouth "Thirsty" which Kelby had a fresh bottle of water in her hands and offered it to Ethan with out backing away. Looking up and seeing her and nodding he was thru drinking she removed the water from him, 

Kelby "Sharie is in Italy with her parents and has met up with Treymon Marcathry. Do you remember him from eighth grade before he move away?" looking at Ethan as he nodded his head that he understood and knew him. Kelby smiled back at him reassuringly that she was there for him.

Julia and Erron knew that everyone around doubted that Ethan was really his oldest son and to reassure Ethan they did another paternity test done while he was in the hospital to prove to all who had doubts that Ethan was Erron's son. They even posted it on the internet news for all to see and hear the truth. Ethan was the one who stood up for everyone no matter what.

While Ethan was up in the kitchen,  his tool pusher from the rig thirteen twenty-one came by to visit. Ethan lifting his cup of hot tea said "It's good to see you I heard that you kept coming tosee me while I was in the hospital."

Tyler grinning " Its sure is great to see that you have woke up and are safe, If we knew this was what it took to get you up and going , we should have done this immediately while you were being in the emergency room."

Ethan laughing at the gesture said " well this put the spur on mom and dad to get this place up and done which I was wanting to move here as its not to far from the homestead."

"I here Kelby has been coming by to make sure you have all of your medicines and have done your so called homework for your memory." Tyler had teased.

"Yes, she has. I do appreciate that she has found the time as she is training to be a teacher for special needs kids. I guess I'm her guinea pig to learn with" Ethan turning around and saw Kelby standing there being as red as a beet from her ears to her shoulders.

"Well Mr. Dakster I guess you are my guinea pig to learn with and you are just as stubborn as some of the students I will be teaching Next semester." Kelby retorted to Ethan's Comment.

Tyler was getting up to leave until Ethan said "you ain't getting out of that this quick. You are staying for lunch with me, I don't care what you say." Tyler still getting up stayed for lunch with Ethan and Kelby as they reminisced about what happened while Ethan was in the hospital and how he had woke up here at the gate house.

Ethan recalled saying "there was a crack in the deck flooring and on the drill bracket and I had gone up to find you and told everyone that I was to tell everyone to get way away from the rig before it gave out and caused an accident, as i went into the box for the main shutoff to stop all of the equipment you had just come around the corner and asked what was I doing when I told you to get off the deck and move to the tree line as I was following you my foot slipped and next thing I hear was bloom." 

Tyler seeing the accident all over "Man you were covered in pipe from the hole there and we could not get you to wake up so we called for a medical air evac to pick you up and take you in. Everyone was worried sick about you and was there in the ER when they came out with the news that you would need surgery so I called the main office knowing your dad and mom were there in meeting. I even texted her to let her know about this. wow I never thought to look under the flooring to check for weak and cracked platforms as well as the drill casings. what made you think to look under the platform and at the drill casings?"

"I don't know, I guess it was a hunch or a bad feeling I had that day. Like my dad and mom told me any time I have a feeling about something go to check it out, i might save a life or two." Ethan said.  

Kelby cleared the dishes away from the table as they had been talking about the accident which is good for Ethan to recall and remember as well, She knew he would want to call Sharie soon and talk to her about when she would be returning if at all anytime soon. After the conversation ended and Tyler left to go home, Ethan came to the kitchen to help Kelby finish up the cleaning.

Kelby stated "I guess you will want to call Sharie to see how she is doing."

"No, I know she is okay and I trust her decisions for her, it is my decision to let her go and be with Treymon as he is and has always been crazy about her and they did not know it. I just have to let her know it is fine with me as Treymon was her first love and she doesn't remember it. She fell out of a tree and hit her head hard and was unconscious for a week, that is when Treymon's family left for Europe during that time. She woke up after that and couldn't remember what happened, she kept asking where is Treymon and never got over him." Ethan filled Kelby in on what happened to Sharie during the eighth grade spring break time.

Kelby quietly said "Oh, I didn't know"

Ethan reached out to give Kelby a hug to comfort her and together they called Sharie to let her know Ethan is awake and remembers almost everything. When they heard Sharie's voice, they said "Hi " together 

Sharie surprised to hear voices of Kelby and Ethan "oh my, you are . are you doing okay, what happened where are you at and Kelby why are you with Ethan?" all of her questions tumbled out at one time.

Kelby said "I'm here with Ethan and was schedule to take care of him until he is well."

Ethan saying "hey it's okay if you want to see Treymon or even if there are other plans with him that is fine with me, you remember him from eighth grade don't you?"

Sharie "no I don't remember him."

"He and his family moved during spring break that year and you fell from the tree at the park and slept for a week." Ethan reminded her of her fall that year.

Sitting up straight she slumped a little and in a quiet voice said "oh, I vaguely remember it, so you mean this Treymon here is the one from our eighth grade year!"

Kelby and Ethan "that's the one"

"OH my now, I have to go I have something I need to do." Sharie said as she hung up the phone.
