Chapter 8 Sorry

We all reached their house, I assume it as there are two bodyguards who are at the door and to be honest,  they are scary.

Their expressions tells me that even if I raise my voice on them, they will kill me.

I gulp and again look at the house, more like mansion in front of us.

Just how rich are they all?!

I think I will lose my mind at this rate.

We all get out, Liam hold kai hands as they both walk inside and eventually everyone went inside except me and james.

James was about to walk when I quickly grab the hem of his shirt. He look at me with a different emotion which I can't place it.

I nervously look at him and start to think what should I say first. I think for a moment then shake my head.

10 minutes passed and still, I'm in such struggle what to say but surprisingly, james also is patience with me.

I sigh in defeat and let go of him. I will tell him later.

I was about to walk towards the door until I felt two arms hug me from behind. I was frozen in my place.

I felt something on my shoulder as james put his chin on my shoulder.

" you should say it. It's not good to leave someone hanging. Especially not me alex~"

I gulp, he's right. I should just say it. Alright, here we go....

" I wanted to say... I'm sorry james..." I flinch as I feel him hugging me tightly.

" But why are you saying sorry, my love?"

His voice.... it's so addictive. I feel my body react to it as my cheeks form a bright shade of red.

" I.... I didn't took your gift. You were upset because of that...."

" Ohh my alex, I'm not upset. I understand that we're like strangers now and it's hard for you to trust us but... there's one thing I want to tell you that...."

he stopped for a moment. " don't reject us... I know you think that we're bad because of rumours and all but try to get to know us. We all love each other and I also want you to be with us. Just know that we all love you a lot."

He said and kissed my cheek then pull away. " Let's go inside " He hold his hand out for me.

I hesitate for a moment.

Can I really trust them? Should I take his hand?

What if... they are also like them?...

What if... they are just acting sweet then they will also throw me away like trash?....

" Hey hey... my love, what's wrong?"
I feel James's hands on my face as he wipes my cheeks. I didn't even notice tears started to flow down.

" I'm o-okay... I was just thinking something..." I look away from him.

There was silence for a while. I was confused on why he isn't saying anything.

I move my eyes to look at him again only to freeze in my place. His face so close to me. I scan his face looking for any emotion but there was nothing.

It wasn't long that I realized that how close our lips are. If any one of us move a little, they would be touched.

What is he thinking? Is he.... going to kiss me?

I look in his eyes as he continues to stare at me.

" You're.... so beautiful " he said, his voice just above a whisper.

We both continue to stare at each other. " Thank-k you-u..."

Shit, why I'm shuttering in front of him.

What's this feeling? Why's my heart beating so fast? Please stop you stupid heart!!

" Can I....." He stop midway and sigh. He shake his head and pat my head softly.

" Come on, let's go inside otherwise they all will come here and drag us inside."

This time he took my hand in his and we both walked inside.

I'm still wondering what he wanted to say. Is it.. what I think?

No no, it can be something else. Yes, it's definitely something else. I'm overthinking.

He lead me to the living room where all were present except finn who was cooking as there are some sounds coming from kitchen.

James lead me to couch and we both sit down. I was in my own thoughts until finn said something like food's ready.

I didn't correctly heard him but I think my guess is right as they all walk towards the kitchen one by one. James also walked me there.

Oh my... Am I in heaven or is this heaven?

I look at the food which was now placed on table by maids.

Did I said that they all are my favourites?

My mouth waters at the sight but I keep my face neutral.

How did they know about my favourites? Is it a coincidence or on purpose?

" Come on guys, let's eat. I'm hungry!!!" Liam said as he forward to take a bite but finn stopped him. " dining room "

That's the only sentence which finn said as he looks at liam with I don't know.. maybe... strict face?

But looks like it worked, liam pout and walk towards the dining room. I look at james as he chuckle looking at my other two mates.

" well, liam is a foodie while finn likes to keep everything in order. " I nod my head as I understand why finn give him that reaction.

It's kinda funny.
