Chapter 22 I...wasn't a good boy?

Alex's pov

I again woke up by the same nightmare.

Sweat was running down my forehead and my whole body was shaking a little. My breathing was still heavy and rapid.

After calming down, I remain in the same position for sometime. I look around the room which was all dark.

I sigh as I again lay down.

This is getting worse...

before I only get those nightmares sometimes but now, it's coming within 2-3 days.

I grab my phone from the night stand as I look at the time.

3:28 am...

I look at the msgs from james asking if I'm feeling alright or not.

I can understand why he's asking me that. After yesterday's talk, we all were.... quiet, completely quiet.

No one said anything but at that time, silence was enough to answer every questions...

They drop me at my apartment and I also didn't said anything to them as I was too much tired and exhausted from all this new information.

I close my phone and look at the ceiling, thinking.

I continue to stare at the ceiling but soon, my thoughts were replaced by the image of someone.

Looking back at me, he's smiling... I can only tell by the feeling as his face is still covered with mask.

Theo....

Why? Why is this happening? My life's already so hard and now this....

Suddenly I remember something....

" mrs. Kelly... can I ask you something?" I look at her, as my head was in her lap as she continues to pat me softly.

" Sure sweetheart " she smiled sweetly as she answered.

I sit up and look down at my hands.

" Why... this happened to me?.." I said as I continued to look down.

I can hear mrs. Kelly move closer to me. I felt her hands hold my hands as she made me look at her.

" What do you mean sweetheart?" She asked, her voice taking a caution tone.

" My parents.... why did they leave me? In school, my friend told me that his parents said that they will leave him, if he didn't listen to them. "

"Did.... my parents also left me because I didn't listen? I... wasn't a  good boy?" I asked as my voice was getting low and low and almost become a whisper at the end.

My eyes started to fill with water as I try to blink and not let them fall.

"No, there's nothing like that alex....
Hey baby... look at me...." she made me look at her as by now, my tears also made their way down. She rubbed her thumb on my cheek, wiping my tears softly.

" You are a good boy alex, no matter what anyone says and why do you think that? You listen to me, you help me in work, you do your homework, you take care of your sisters. That's all are the things of a good boy..."

My eyes wide in amusement. " really? But... I thought it's normal work.." " see, you're soo good and I think good boys get rewards..."

My eyes lit up at this.

" What you're going to give me??" I asked curiously, my voice is full of excitement.

" hmmm... how about.. amusement park?"

She said and as soon as I heard it, I jumped with excitement.

" YES!! YES!! YES!!"

She smiled sadly for a moment then sighed.

She shaked her head as I continue to jump on bed, full of excitement, completely forgetting about anything else.

" Okay Okay, now sleep otherwise you will not be able to wake up for tomorrow, come on "

she get up from the bed and made me lay down on bed.

She pulled the blanket over me as my eyes soon started to get heavy.

"Good night mom...."

I mumble before I drifted into sleep.

I could feel something on my forehead and then, some pats on my head as I hear her say

" Good night dear..."

I look away from ceiling as one tear slipped from my eyes.

I grab my phone from the nightstand and dail the number of the person whom I really want to talk to right now.

Ring Ring Ring.......

          .....Hello?

                 .......Hello.. alex...?

           Mom... I need to talk about something....

Hiiii lovieeesss, I hope you all are fine. Well... I know that I'm not doing fair by uploading only one chapter after so long but to be honest, nowadays a lot is going on in my life and I don't even know how to deal with it.
