Chapter 1 first day

Before I start this story, I want all of you to know some things related to this story.

1. Mate is someone who's like our second half and in this world, it's pretty common to have more than 1 mate.

2. Separating mates or forcing them to stay away from each other is consider a crime

3. No one can break mate bond except mates. For ex- mates can break their bond if they want by some rituals. But it is very rare for mates to break their bond because breaking bond causes so much pain, it is very rare that they will survive from pain but even if they survive, they become lifeless... like a body without a soul then they will never have a mate in their whole life. So, you may guess how important this bond is..

4. Well... in this story, everything is normal as how mate things work. As soon as they found their mate, they will be drawn towards them.

Alex pov

I woke up by the annoying sound of my alarm. I open my eyes and look around my new apartment.

This is the 6th time in a month that I have changed my apartment.

I don't get it why finding a right apartment is just a big issue. In my previous apartments, either the landlords were bad or the apartment was so bad in condition.

My current apartment is also not that good but it's better than my previous ones.

It has 2 rooms with a kitchen and bathroom, it has enough space for an another person to come and live with me but that will never happen so.... what's the point in thinking this?

I did my morning routine, changed my clothes to a white t- shirt with black jeans and black sports Shoes.

I look at the photo frame on my night stand. There was me and ms. Kelly. We both are smiling happily.

I sigh as I remember her. Ms. Kelly.... she's like my everything. She's the only person who love me and care for me.

She's a sweet lady in her thirties, she has 2 kids. She's a single mother because her husband died in a car accident.

She was very depressed at that time. It was very difficult  for her to live without her mate but she didn't give up because of her daughters.

I sometimes get also surprised how strong she is. I met her for the first time when I was 10.

I was on streets, finding something to eat from dumpster as I didn't have a choice other than that.

At first,  I thought she pity me for my condition but I didn't knew that she will become my mother. Funny right?

She was so determined on keeping me home with her. She always has treated me as her own son.

When I told her I want to live alone, she didn't agree. She suggested that I can stay with her for the rest of my life but I didn't wanted to be a burden.

So... that's why I got a whole day of lectures, advices and all other things, and in the end, she finally said yes.

As I kept on thinking, my eyes soon fell on the clock.

Oh my... I'm sooo gonna be late for school....

I took my backpack from table and quickly went outside after locking the door.
