THE GRAND old house of Professor Kirke was filled with a melancholic air as the Pevensies and Ivory prepared to return to their separate lives. The end of the war had brought them back to the reality of their teenage selves, a stark contrast to the royal figures they had become in Narnia. They stood in the foyer, their luggage ready by the door, exchanging awkward farewells.

"Promise to write to each other," Lucy insisted, her eyes bright with unshed tears.

"I will," Ivory assured, her voice firm but gentle. "We'll stay in touch, no matter what."

Susan nodded, embracing Ivory warmly. "Take care of yourself, Ivory. We'll miss you."

"I'll miss you too," Ivory replied, her voice thick with emotion. She turned to Edmund, who stood a little apart from the rest, looking uncomfortable.

"Goodbye, Edmund," she said, forcing a smile.

"Goodbye, Ivory," he replied, his voice barely audible. The tension between them was palpable, the weight of their unresolved past hanging heavily in the air.

As they parted ways, Ivory couldn't shake the feeling of disorientation. She was back to being a teenager, yet her heart and mind bore the scars of her experiences in Narnia. It felt strange, almost surreal, to return to her old life after everything that had happened.

Back in her old room in Finchley, Ivory sat at her desk, penning a letter to Susan, Lucy, and Peter. She needed to reconnect, to share her plans and find some semblance of normalcy.

Dear Susan, Lucy, and Peter,

It's been a whirlwind since we left the professor's house. Being back in Finchley feels strange, especially after everything. I've decided to go back to Saint Finbar's with Susan and Lucy. I think it will be good for me to be near you all.

With love, Ivory

A few days later, a response arrived. Ivory's heart lifted as she recognized Susan's neat handwriting.

Dearest Ivory,

We're all so excited to hear from you and thrilled that you'll be joining us at Saint Finbar's. It will be wonderful to have you close by. Edmund has been a bit different since we left the professor's house. He's had a mix of emotions, but I'm sure seeing you again will help.

With love, Susan, Lucy, Peter, and Edmund

After a few months, Ivory stood outside her old house in Finchley, taking a deep breath. It felt odd, like stepping into a past life. The familiar sights and sounds brought back memories of a simpler time, before the magic of Narnia had changed everything.

As she walked up the path, she noticed the Pevensie house nearby. It was comforting to know they were close, even if things were different now. She rang the doorbell, her heart pounding with a mix of anticipation and nervousness.

The door opened to reveal Lucy's smiling face. "Ivory! I'm so glad you're here!"

Susan appeared behind her, pulling Ivory into a warm hug. "Welcome back, Ivory. It's so good to see you."

"Thanks," Ivory replied, feeling a rush of relief. "It's good to be back."

Peter joined them, his smile reassuring. "Come in, Ivory. We've missed you."
