| Part 18 | Another reason

Mac shut his eyes closed before pushing him away. The latter was a bit stunned, seeing the way this little man behaved he could do nothing. Nan is fully aware that it was a bit cruel to not let him go across the bridge. This place must feel like a prison to him. A human who is caged away from going back to his mortal world. Technically, with his power, Nan could just swap places and bring him home but because of the strict rules, he couldn't do it. He is afraid that the border might be locked from the inside where it will cause Mac's spiritual strength to never regain back. Nan surely had his solution for that matter, yet, he chose not to do it without his loved one own will. Now, the situation does not seem to be on his side and Mac is only thinking about going home.

"Sleep with me."

Mac turned his head almost breaking his neck as he heard Nan blurt out something that sounded nonsense to him.

"Are you out of your mind?"

"I am here to remind you that you cannot go back. With that lack of spiritual power of yours, you're not gonna make it. For sure you still have the chance, but only if you completely heal and regain your energy."

"I'm not pleased with that statement." He sighed before he let himself be in the huge man's embrace. They stayed in bed for a few minutes, sharing the warmth and coolness.

"I'll help you release. I won't do anything else." Nan whispered next to Mac's ear and then he agreed. So, he lays on his back and surrenders to Nan as he melts from the world when the pleasure is taken over him.

The next morning, Mac is waking up by the chirping birds. The air around here is cold and misty. He still is not familiar with this atmosphere. He decided to get a quick shower and then eat his usual breakfast. An hour later, a doctor came in for his daily check-up.

"All good. But I see that you've trouble with your sleep. I would suggest you drink floral teas before going to bed. Chamomile and dandelion teas are one of the best options." The doctor excused himself and walked out.

Mac is the only person left alone in the room. Never have he imagined to stay on the other side of the world. Being away from home makes him feel uneasy. He is worried about his farm and the house. Even though Nan tells him that Dew will take good care of it, he can't help but he cannot stay still unless he manages to do everything by himself. And speaking about yesterday, Mac had a little crisis about what happened last night. It was great but, he did not tell Nan about how he keeps wanting for more. Such shameless behaviour he had that those playthings weren't enough to satisfy his desire. Now, he tried to play it cool. Who in the world would think that self-gratification or any sexual activities can help him to recover his spiritual energy? Does that make any sense? Not at all!

"That little head of yours is always full of thoughts."

"Well, what do you think? I can't even see my house from here."

"I should've known better. And what the doctor said? Anything in particular?" Nan walked near to him.

"He asks me to drink tea."

"I see." He uttered. "You must feel bored. Let's head for the sauna."

"There is a sauna in here?"

"We do. Vampires need it for a certain purpose." He spoke as he led them both towards the place he mentioned earlier.

"But why sauna instead of freezing water?"

"Don't you worry about it. This one is mine. And I never use it before. I'd prefer a cold shower rather than hot steam."

They both have taken off their clothes and wear only a towel wrapped around the waist. Inside the hot steam, they let themselves sweat out. The vampire only stayed for a while before he went out. Mac could only stay in because he was fighting with his head. How can he when Nan is walking around half-naked? Those tone muscles did not help with this situation. He is almost losing his mind, whenever Nan comes closer or slightly touches him. So, he walked out of the steam room to clear his head only for him to see Nan who was sitting in the corner, unbothered by his presence.
