It was 6:45 pm when Mac was having dinner. Once he was done with the dishes, Mac went upstairs and took a shower. A few minutes later, he came back with a towel wrapped around his waist, his wet hair falling on his forehead. He walked to the closet and picked up the pajamas. While he was choosing the inner pants, a brown cat suddenly jumped out of the cabinet making him yell.

"For God's sake, Coco!" He breathed out.

Mac picked up his shirt and wore them. He was about to reach for his pants before he heard the sound of tree branches cracking coming from the outside. That disturbing sound drew his attention. With a curiousity, Mac approached the window. He slid open the curtain and looked out for anything strange. Suspiciousness creeps inside his head.

"Looking for me?"

A deep voice made him quickly turn his head to the side, that when he saw a figure proudly standing on the tree branch. Leaning himself against the big trunk. Mac was about to throw his hand before he realized that the latter was none other than a creepy guy who was always dressed in black. He breathed out and brought his gaze staring into the other.

"Is there any particular reason for you to always show up during the night? Besides your allergy?"

"I'm here to return what is yours."

"Huh?"

"Your tiny monster."

"Monster?... You mean my cat?" He spoke with a confused tone.

"What does Coco have to do with..." Mac paused.

He shut his mouth upon hearing the latter. Turning his head, Mac looked into that fluffy potato which is now peacefully lying on top of his bed. He went silent for a moment. There were some kind of thoughts lingering inside of his head. This morning, Mac tried to call out for his tiny friend countless times but there was no response.

How strange, he couldn't find Coco everywhere. And after all, Coco likes to be MIA on purpose. It was one of the reasons why Mac didn't worry about him. But he never thought his cat would follow this guy who barely meets him. Having a cat as a friend, Mac knew almost everything Coco needed. Even he knows his fluffy potato doesn't like to meet strangers or give him belly rubs to a new person. Then how come this fluffy bread is going after Nan?

"Does it means that he followed you all your way back home?"

Nan scoffed. "Your cat has his own charm."

"I'm sorry. I never think that he will follow any stranger. It's so weird to know that..."

"Stranger..?"

"I mean to him. You are still a stranger. But congrats, you're now his friend."

"What?"

"He's adopted you."

"Is that possible?"

"Yea..? As if you never know that."

They were joking and laughing around one another. Those dark skies with blinking stars behind them are these two companies. As it was the most beautiful conversation ever. Mac didn't know how he could talk with people so easily. Throughout his life, he always had that big wall around him. Preventing himself not to get hurt by people, those harsh words. He shuts himself from the world and lives only with the people under his roof.

"It's getting late, you should go home."

"Then I should get going. Goodnight Mac."

"Pfft... Goodnight."
