Mac is entirely spending his time in the farm; just to get rid of all his nonsense thoughts. Somehow, he cannot help but keep hearing Dew's voice. How ridiculous it was that almost every second those words were still lingering inside his head. As if they kept repeating themselves.
A bottom? ~
Arghhhhh!!!!
And to get rid of his core memory, he tends to keep himself busy as much as he can. Only to not pay any attention to the previous matter. Although, last weekend when Dew visited him in a rainy day, he was honestly feeling great. Not until he heard his friend mouthed a remarkable question which left him speechless.
"Coco...that is a muddy pool. Look at you now. No. Don't. Coco!"
Sighed. He thought that cleaning the horses, milking the cows, and collecting chicken eggs were the worst choices not knowing how his tiny little devil would act when the shower hit those fluffy hair. When it happens, Mac has to endure those creepy meowing echoes in the bathroom, or how his little voice shrieks as if he is in the horror film.
"You're really a devil in cat disguise." He muttered as he wrapped his tiny little friend with a towel.
Mac breathed out, got on his feet, and wiped his sweat with his front shirt before he went to switch on the fan, right after he placed down his cat on the bed. Mac walked near to the fan, letting his both arms widespread into the air. Never did he ever experience sweating in the shower. It was a whole workout session. Bathing a cat was basically fighting with the evil spirit. Funny how nobody gave him a sign nor a simple warning before.
Half shirt lifts and Mac lets the cold air fanning his skin. He shut his eyes, feeling every inch of himself being embraced by the cold yet soothing breeze. Everything is totally great until...
"Ohhh...nice abs."
"I know." He gave a quick answer, feeling a little proud of himself.
...
Wait a second...
Mac slowly opens his eyes, he cannot help but sense the eerie atmosphere in every corner of his room. He took a brave step by turning his head to the side, eyeing his surroundings. Where it was no one was there except for himself and his cat.
"Coco." Calling the cat's name as he tried to stay calm.
But the cat seemed not to bother at all. His burned potato must loved the new tortilla towel. But this is not the time not to panic. Mac tells himself to keep his calm. Seeing how unbothered his cat is, Mac decided to not get the alarm. Usually, creatures like cats and dogs do see 'the other things'.
Coco doesn't look like he sees them. Or perhaps his cat is broken. So, he thought maybe he was just hearing stuff since he was too tired. Yet, he cannot manage to convince himself that it is not true. Because the voice is super clear. But more like, a squeaky tiny voice, where does a cartoon character sound like? It really is creepy.
Mac gave no shit and went to pick up his cat. Those fluff fur nearly dry, when he unwrapped the towel. So he got to make sure to keep them dry enough.
"You do look comfortable, huh?"
Outside, it was pouring. Mac was resting on the bed leaning himself on the headboard. He was reading a book with a hardcover. By his side, there is a fluff loaf curling on the mattress, who had fallen asleep. Leaving him alone, as nature pours its tears. The clock struck at 12 when he suddenly realized how much time he spent only by reading. So, he laid on his side hugging the book closer to his chest. He let himself drown in sleep as he was carried by those desirable dreams.
It was such a beautiful and peaceful sleep he ever experienced until he had to take a piss early in the morning. Mac is in a comfy position when his dreams get weird when by sees a luxury toilet appear in front of a big castle. He knows that he is trapped by his dream and forces himself to open his eyes.
"Sigh. I can't even sleep once without seeing a toilet." And so he went to the bathroom.
Eyelids half open, Mac was not fully sober. He was too tired to see a blinding bright light at 2 in the morning. He gave up all his will and fell into asleep. A minute later, he was awakened by an unfamiliar sound coming from outside his toilet door. He slowly pushes the door open and rapidly blinks his eyes to adjust his sight. At first, he found nothing, perhaps it was his cat, but the longer he stared into the dark space the creepier it got. And who thought he would see a walking dark sphere card just crossing the bathroom door? Which left him terrified.
Mac hurriedly washed himself and ran to his bed. He keeps looking back to make sure nothing following him from behind. But he forgot what could possibly appear right in front of his face. That was when he accidentally bumped into something making him fall on the floor.
"Ouch!" He held his hand cupping his head before looking up, only to see a scary-looking face fiercely staring deep into his soul. He almost let out a scream when he saw those bloody eyes piercing from the corner. But he managed to hold back when the silhouette walked out from the dark showing his true face.
Clearing his throat Mac tried not to sound as if he was not terrified by these disturbing moments just now.
"What're you doing in here?" He asked and immediately stood on his feet. The latter kept his mouth shut only eyeing the only human in the room. He then continued, "You better not play any terrible games. Especially during this hour." Mac walked towards his bed, acting as if he was the only person in there.
"I know I came in the wrong time."
"What is your point?"
"You."
"...Me? I'm sorry?" Mac was surely checking whether he heard them right.
"For when you'll be seeing your beloved one again."
Did he hear him right?
Is he not in a dream?
Then he still have a chance?
"3 days from now."
Mac has mixed feelings about this. A part of him, he is very thankful. But another part of him is telling him to stop. It feels wrong for every possible reason. Should he better stop? Then he will lose his chance. Everything he was hoping for.
"I don't know..."
"The time is running. You must decide, are you in?"
"Sigh. You gotta be kidding me. Fine. I'm in."
And that is when everything started to make no sense. Mac felt his life crumbled into pieces. There are too many rules that he needs to follow for it to happen. He could tell that this is not very easy. It was all about self-control, as Nan said it would try to take over his mind. And no matter who will appear in front of his eyes later, he must block the urge to embrace and bring them even closer. There is no other way unless he plays them right.
"Remember the rules."
