"I'm fine. Just a little sunburned."

A little sunburn..? With the smoke on top his head? What kind of sunburn is that? He basically looked like a rotten bbq right now. And of course there were scratches on his temple and cheekbones. A few red marks showing on his arms. There also tiny holes on his shirt. Does the sun is so powerful that it could burn his head to the point that he almost caught himself on fire? Despite having smoke over his head, Mac admitted that Nan still look good. Like how is that even possible?

"You should stay at home." Mac spoke after awhile. He held a cotton bud soaked with the yellow thing and applied on to Nan's skin.

The man with those sculpture face didn't utter any words. No matter how much Mac moved or changing place, his eyes only fixed towards him. And Nan never blinked. He was distracted by the beautiful view on his sight. They were both sitting on the bed facing towards one another. With Mac applying the medicine on Nan.

"It's done. I'm going to wash my hands first."

Mac said pointing his thumb towards the bathroom door before he got on his feet and head into the bathroom. After awhile, he returned with a dried hands. Mac put back all the kit inside the box and placed them in the cabinet. He turned his gaze into Nan when there was a thing that caught his attention. The scars on his face was gone. Not even a single red scratch bear on his skin. As it was like his skin went back into normal.

He went silent. Mac tried to brush off the thought behind his head bit it all came back. He keeps saying that he must be seeing thing because he was too tired. So he brought his gaze staring into the man who was by the window. It was true. Those red marks which he had seen them earlier were not there anymore. How is that possible?

"Maybe I just put too much medicine..." Mac murmured.

Monday had just arrived. Mac decided to go out getting the extra foods supplier after having his lunch. It seemed that his father won't be coming home soon. Last night, Mac got a called saying that he won't be able to finish the work in the short time. He also apologized for not helping Mac doing the chores. But Mac assured his dad by saying Dew also there helping him. He told him not to worry and remind him to take care of his health.

Mac walked out his house and went to the nearest store. And for sure, once he stepped out from his place, he would meet bunch of people that he hopes to avoid. Mac wouldn't dare to keep his head up whenever they were passing by. He felf so small around those people. Yet he braced himself to keep walking until he reached the place. Picking up all the things he wanted, Mac chose the only cheap materials he able to afford.

His eyes laid on the golden packet of chocolate. He do really wanted to have those since he had been craving lately but he restrained himself from doing so. With the small amount of pocket money, Mac won't able to buy those. So he went to another section and looked out for the brown sugar. He held the basket full with stuff when he suddenly heard the two ladies whispering behind his back.

"Hey, isn't that the child? It was said that the whole villager killed the mother and let the child suffered."

"You mean the story was true after all?"

"You bet."

"I just have the goosebump."

"How can they even let them roaming around? It will be dangerous if we got curse."

"You mean the witch....."

"Shhh!!! Don't say it too loud. He might heard it."

Mac tightly gribbed the basket. He breathed in and tried to hold his tears. No matter where he goes, he will always met those type of people, hearing those voice coming out from their mouth. Does all the sharp words cutting through his heart were nothing? Aren't they satisfied enough by doing all the worst thing to his life? What kind of power on Earth they desired just so they could let him be alone?
