Dad always told me,
"Don't you cry when you're down"
But mum, there's a tear every time
that I blink

"I will see you this afternoon, first we will get lunch and then go shopping but for now I do have some errands to run," Shannon said as she dropped Jo off at school.

It was a little awkward this morning when she picked the two kids up since Eddie told Jo about the divorce but Eddie was right. They would be alright, and if she needed to show that.

Then she would.

"I'm really excited. I'll see you later." She climbed out of the car with her backpack hanging off of her left arm. She slung it over her backpack and grabbed her water bottle.

"Love you."

"Love you too Mom." She shut the door and walked off to the school happily.

When she walked into the school she was instantly greeted by Grace and Finn, who were standing together waiting for Josie.

Jo smiled at the two walking in between them. The two of them walked on both sides of her, a step behind. "What got you so chipper?" Finn asks giving a weird look to Grace who gives her a shrug back.

"What happened to Just Always Angry Josie?" Grace adds on making Jo throw her a confused glance and Finn a shocked one.

Josie chooses to ignore Gracie's words. She walked into her biology classroom, sitting at her lab table next to Finn and Grace who stared at her.

She tried to ignore them but it got unbearable. "What?"

"You're happy?!" Grace wildly says.

Josie looks around confused. "Yeah?"

"Why?" Finn says it's the craziest concept in the world. "You're a very angry person."

Josie rolls her eyes and leans in while ushering them in. "Don't tell anyone, but-" Josie smiles faintly as she thinks about her next words. "My parents are getting a divorce."

The three of them lean back, Jo with a smile on her face and Finn and Grace with a crazed look on both of their faces. The two look at each other briefly before looking back at the girl.

Finn tilts his head to her. "So you've gone crazy."

Josie rolls her eyes for what feels like the 30th time today. "No."

"I have so many questions." Grace mutters. "How are you?"

Joey shrugs and looks down at the table. "I don't know, I guess I'm good. I think I'm happy. My mom was the one who asked, and I think she was just tired of the constant weight of having to hold on to someone she's already lost love for. But my dad went to the dinner last night thinking that it would be good for them. Thinking that they might take another step forward. But she broke his heart." Jo shrugs with a small smile. "You know, I think it would be good for the two of them to get out of this marriage. Get unstuck. They've been married since they were kids but they've only acted married for maybe a few years."

Finn and Grace nod but confusion still rests on their faces.

"I'm happy because I'm not mad at my mom for doing it. I'm proud of her for not leading my father on, cause he deserves better than that. Also, we're hanging out today, and I'm excited. Like really excited."
