Jesus Christ, I'm so blue all the time
And that's just how I feel
Always have and I always will
I always have and always will

The first funeral was a few days later, in LA. Everyone from Texas flew out to California, even Mateo and her friends flew out. Yet they all stayed at hotels or someone else's house.

I mean who wants to stay in such a broken house?

Jo was in the process of getting ready. She had picked out her dress the night before when she finally got some energy to get up and roam around.

The dress was a black flowery dress with flowered lace as the long sleeves. It inched her arms but it's all she had. It was a good itch though. Painful enough to make her feel something.

She brushed her hair, trying to get the 3 day-old tangles out of it.

Once she was done getting ready she stepped out into the hallway and made her way to the kitchen where Buck and Eddie stood. Buck saw her first since her dad's back was turned against her. He coughed slightly, telling the father that she was behind him.

Eddie spun around, black suit and tie, matching Buck. His sad eyes traced down her body, and he gave a short nod. "You look nice."

Jo ignored the comment and walked over to the fridge, opening it and grabbing a bottle of water. She turned around to look at her father, but all she could see was his hurt. She pointed to the tie, that hung around his neck, with her hand that had the water bottle in it.

Eddie looked down at it while grabbing the tie and flattening it down. "You learned how to tie a tie?"

Eddie scoffs with a smile and points behind him to Buck. "Actually Buck did it. Not as good as you though." He says in an attempt to make her smile, which he got but it was half-assed and fake.

"Is Chris ready?" Right when she said that a small crash was heard from Chris's room making all heads turn. Eddie was about to walk off to it but Jo stopped him and went instead.

She lightly knocked on the door to Chris's room. When she pushed the door open Chris was sitting on his bed with the bow tie in his hand and his stuffed lion in his other. A gift Shannon got him for Christmas.

"You need some help?"

Chris nodded and raised the tie-up to her. She walked forward, grabbing the tie and reaching around his neck. It took about 20 seconds to put the tie on, but she fixed his hair for another 10 more. She finally took a step back and watched Chris as he brushed his fingers through the lion's mane.

After about 30 seconds of watching him, she knelt in front of him softly grabbed the lion from his hands, and set it on the bed.

"You gonna be okay?" She asked. She heard the floorboards on the outside of the room creak, meaning Eddie, Buck, or both were standing out there.

Chris nodded but tears welled up in his eyes.

Jo grabbed his hands and pressed them against hers. "It's okay to cry, Chris. Everyone is here for you"

He nodded once again but his face turned confused. "What about you?"

"What about me?"

Chris looked up to the ceiling. "Are you gonna cry?"
