Somehow pulling out of my daze, I continued to apologize and he continued to laugh as we both walked back to the bar.
My mischievous puppy squirmed in my arms, whining and begging to be released, but I held him close, offering to somehow repay the blond man.
"There's no need for that," he said, coming behind the bar again. "But, if you really want... Come here tonight, there will be a party and it'll be my first time working one."
I accepted the offer, even agreeing to let him charge me extra for the puppy incident. He just laughed and swatted a hand.
The sun was sinking below the horizon but the golden sunrays still spilled on his face where I now noticed an adorable dimple. It added more to his charm and, even though I enjoyed watching his sun-kissed face and hair, I couldn't wait for the night to fall...
