Charlotte Addam's POV:
I sit quietly in the freezing tree with Lucas. I notice his leg bleeding and a cut down his trousers. "What happened?" I whisper to not make our location aware to other tributes.
"The careers. I told them I didn't know where you were and they got angry. Cut my leg with a pitchfork and chased me" Lucas explains quietly. I look at the wound and remember the rubbing alcohol the girl from 9 left behind.
I hold it to him as he flinches in pain. I use the knife to rip a piece of my dress off and soak it in the rubbing alcohol. "What are you doing?" He asks, looking confused.
"I found this earlier, it'll help disinfect the cut" I say and press the soaked piece of dress fabric to his wound softly. He lets out a hiss of sudden pain and I feel bad but know it'll be worse if I don't do this now.
"I'm sorry, I'm just trying to help" I apologise to his as I dab the bleeding wound softly. "I- it's fine, I get it, it's helping" Lucas says softly. Just then another canon goes off and I look up in shock. "That's the tenth canon" I think aloud, more so to myself.
Coriolanus Snow's POV:
Nightfall occurs and I watch as they take turns getting sleep. I watch out for tributes on the cameras, everyone around me asleep, when I notice the boy from 7 with an axe.
Just then he climbs up to the tree across from them, Charlotte not noticing him yet. I see him get ready to aim his axe. Without thinking I rush for his mentor's computer and send a drone to him which thankfully knocks him out of the tree before he can aim.
I see Charlotte flinch at the sight of the boy falling from the tree and onto a sharp shard of ice. The blood covers the snow. I rush back to my seat and act as thought I didn't see what happened.
She looks up at the camera and we make eye contact though she doesn't know it. She knows that it was me but she doesn't speak or even wake up Lucas.
Hours pass and everyone is up once more. I watch as the mentor for the male tribute of 7 yells to find out who killed his tribute. I stay silent but I can see Dr Gaul staring at me. After everything with Lucy Gray it was obvious it was me and yet no one said a word.
