The sun was setting over Adventure Bay, casting long shadows across the sandy beach. A familiar red truck pulled into the PAW Patrol's, and a small puppy named Viri bounced excitedly. She was a rescue pup, the man give her to Ryder a year ago and quickly became a cherished member of the PAW Patrol.

But today, a shadow fell over Viri's joy. A woman, whose face was etched with worry and tinged with a familiar sadness, stood by the truck. She was Lucy, Viri's original owner.

'Viri!' she cried, scooping the puppy into her arms. 'My little Viri! I've missed you so much!'

Viri whimpered, a tiny tremor running through her body. She knew Lucy, but the memories were fuzzy - the feeling of being left alone, the cold, the fear. She had found a new home with Ryder and the PAW Patrol, a home filled with warmth, kindness, and the comforting scent of adventure.

Mayor Goodway, with her signature bright smile, placed a comforting hand on Lucy's shoulder. 'Lucy, we're so happy you came to visit. But Viri has found a wonderful forever home here with Ryder and the pups.'

Lucy's eyes widened. 'But Viri is mine!' she protested, her voice trembling. 'She's my puppy!'

Chase stepped forward, his usual confidence etched on his face. 'Not anymore, Lucy,' he said firmly. 'You didn't take care of her good enough.Ryder and the PAW Patrol gave her a safe place to grow and thrive.'

Ryder, his voice gentle, added, 'Viri's found a happy home here with us, Lucy. She's a part of the PAW Patrol now.'

Viri, sensing the tension, whimpered again. She looked up at Ryder, her eyes pleading. 'Please, Ryder, don't let them take me away.'

Seeing the puppy's distress, Mayor Goodway stepped forward. 'Lucy, I understand this is difficult, but Viri is much happier here. She's part of a team, she has friends, and she's learning to be brave and helpful. She's getting trained by Ryder.'

Lucy, her face a mix of hurt and longing, looked at Viri, her puppy, her little shadow. She knew in her heart that Mayor Goodway was right. Viri was happy. She was safe.

With a deep breath, Lucy said, 'I... I understand.

Viri, sensing the shift in the air, wagged her tail, a small, hesitant, but happy wag. She knew she was loved, she knew she was safe. And she knew she was part of the PAW Patrol, ready to help save the day, one adventure at a time.
