Spencer: DuBuis , are you ok ? The news said there was a shooting at the hospital. Are you ok !

                   -----------

Theodore: Luci. There's a shooter here at the hospital.

Luci: What! Uncle D's hospital? Stop lying. Stop playing.

Theodore: I'm not. I'm not. People took off running. Granny Glory and me are still here. We ran to the cafeteria. With a bunch of other people. We put a bunch of stuff in front of the doors. I don't know if the person shooting is still here though. Everything is really confusing. Granny Glory hurt her ankle. I'm scared.

Luci: It's going to be ok , cuz. It will.

Theodore: Will it ? I'm scared. I'm sorry I was mean to you.

                          -----------

Richard stood in his bedroom, his grey eyes bleary and bloodshot from crying, holding the note that Nigel had left him.

Then his phone rang. It was his brother.

Spencer sounded stressed and nervous as he said tensely," Richard. I know this isn't a good time with what you learned about Rebecca but..... There's a shooting at DuBuis's hospital. " His voice broke off slightly and trembled. " He's not answering his phone. Glory and Theodore are there too. Dad and I are going to the hospital. "

What? , Richard thought as he read the note again.

A shooting. At his brother in law's hospital.

Where Nigel and his daughter currently were.

" Dear God ," he whispered as he abruptly hung up on his brother and quickly dialed his husband.

Nigel's phone just rang and rang and rang.

                     ----------

Angel was sprawled on the cold tile floor of the nursing station where DuBuis had dragged him, a dark red  blood stain spreading on his lilac scrub top. His handsome young face was almost deathly pale and his lips trembled out one word," Hank....."

                       ----------

DuBuis was back in the hallway, trying to ignore the unmoving bodies of two of his other nurses as he focused on the man in front of him who had not one but two loaded guns. " We need to get my staff some help. Please let me get them help. Ok ? Especially the nurse in there. He's hurt bad. He needs to go to surgery. "

He was trying not to think about his husband. Or his niece. Or Angel who was shot protecting him. Why the hell did he stand in front of him? He was just hoping and praying that he and his co workers could get out of this alive.

The man laughed. " I'm hurting too. You want them helped ? Fine. Help me first. Fix my head. And not with any damn MRI or X-ray. That is how they track you. "

DuBuis was afraid to ask but he did. " Track you? Who's tracking you? "

The man rolled his eyes at him. " The government of course. They planted a transmitter in my head. Ok ? If you take it out I'll help your precious nurse. But I need it out. Now. "

                   ------------

Angel gingerly forced himself to sit up. He looked down at his chest. It hurt. Oh dear God. Why did it hurt so much? He needed to get to.... He needed to.....

A fellow nurse, Ari , crawled over to him and pressed a thick white towel against his chest.

" I'm going to die," he whispered. " Right? "

Ari murmured," Shut up. You're too mean to die. You're going to be fine. "

He let his eyes drift closed. He was so tired. He wanted.... Hank..... He was so sorry he had left him so long ago..... It was a mistake.....

" Hank," he whispered.

DuBuis stepped back into the nursing station. " Ari. I need you to get Angel upstairs to surgery. He said he can go. In exchange for me staying here. And removing his.... transmitter. "

Angel forced his eyes back open and his lips slowly moved to say," His what? "

                  --------------

Nigel and Rebecca were one of the lucky ones who managed to escape the hospital in the confusion after the shootings. He was standing outside the building, holding a crying Rebecca and answering his ringing phone.

" Nigel, are you and Rebecca alright! ," Richard practically screamed over the phone. " Please tell me you both are alright. Please. "
