Glory: Andrew told me that Spencer doesn't want to come to the family dinner tomorrow. Is that true?
Nigel: Yes. He is bloody mad. Never seen him so hot under the collar myself. I really think DuBuis stepped in some cow shit with this one. And he won't talk to me or Richard about it. Fact is he won't leave the guest room. Richard is worried and that's the last thing he needs right now. He's meeting with his lawyer Monday about this whole custody thing and we need to arrange another DNA test. I'm knee deep in work on the restaurant and worrying about Richard and Rebecca. I think Spencer's great. A wonderful if slightly odd fellow. But he picks a not so wonderful time to go fighting with his husband.
Glory: And DuBuis is pouting all over the house here. Yes. He's pouting. A forty year old man is pouting. He looks like he lost his best friend. Which I guess he has. Andrew told him to give Spencer time and space but we have to get them back together. Or at least talking. And I have a plan how to. It involves you and Richard though.
Nigel: Us ? How?
Glory: Hear me out. If Spencer won't come to family dinner here tomorrow then the family dinner is coming to him. I want us all to have it at you and Richard's place. And if they don't talk like two adults then I will lock them in a room and toss away the keys. You won't have to do a thing. I will do all the cooking.
Nigel: Glory, you have a broken ankle.
Glory: Sprained. And I have had worse injuries. I also have a cane the hospital gave me. I'm also inviting a special guest to the dinner.
Nigel: I feel bloody nervous asking but who ?
Glory: Reverend Lynn. Their therapist.
