Yamini's POV:
My first day went quite nicely. Though I was worried in the morning, after the welcoming gathering, it appeared like everyone was pleasant. Also, I shouldn't be sluggish because My posting has some reputation and I should be careful enough in all aspects. I have a separate cabin, and it's good to see my name on my table. Yamini, the Assistant Manager. Woah! That's cool. I snapped a photo and sent it to Aditya Mama.
I garnered my belongings and prepared to leave the office. It is already six o'clock! He will be waiting for me. "Miss Yamini?" Someone knocked on the door. I saw the Branch Manager standing beside the door. "Sorry for interfering with the way home. But I need to discuss loan approval and workflows. Because that is the most essential data you ought to understand as the Assistant Manager. Your approval is extremely crucial here!" He added and I couldn't refuse him. As I invited him to sit and we had a quick meeting about the procedures.
After an hour, the meeting ended, we left the cabin and he bid bye after coming out of the office. I took out my mobile and saw 10 missed calls from Mama. Pochu! Sethen! (That's all! I'm gonna die) I called him back and he answered as he was waiting at the nearby Tea shop. His voice was thick and I knew he was angry! You should manage him, Yam! I walked to the tea shop and saw him drinking tea.
"Anna oru tea" (Bro, One tea) I ordered casually and stood beside him. I can sense his angry waves attacking me even a foot apart from him. I poked his arm and gained no response. "Mama!" No response. "Dei Aditya" I called and immediately his sharp gaze fell on me. Aiyo! "Why are you not responding?" with a little pout, I asked him. He slowly walked towards the counter and kept the glass there. After paying for 2 tea, He came and handed me the glass of tea. I took a sip and tasted the tea. "Woah! The tea is really nice! Isn't it mama?" I quired, raising my eyebrow as he sighed and saw me with an unbelievable look. "Athu vandhu.." (I was..) He cuts me off. "Drink fast! We need to go" He said with a strict face which saddened me. "tch" I clicked my tongue in disappointment and placed the glass with the remaining tea left. "Polam" (We can go) I walked before him towards the car as he followed me.
Even he didn't tell me to drink the tea. I kept 3/4th of the tea in a glass. tch! With a disappointed face, I got in the car and we hit the road. I noticed he didn't even keep his hand on my thighs. "Sorry," I uttered and got back no response. This is not our route to the hostel. What's this way? Where does it lead to? I squinted my eyes in confusion. It looks like a way to a remote area. No buildings, no hotels, nothing except the trees. "Get out of the car!" His stern voice startled me for a second. "Athan sorry keten la. Ipo ena inga thaniya vittutu poiruvingla?" (I asked sorry too! What if you left me here?) I asked and he didn't even open his mouth. He unlocked the door and dragged me outside. Seriously my heart skipped a beat in fear. There's not even street lights. "Mama" I hugged his arm and walked along with him. I don't know where he's going. But I decided not to leave him.
A quick flare of lights, and I was astounded to see a miniature setup. The lights were adorned, and the area was filled with flowers. I couldn't believe my eyes! "This is beautiful!" I exclaimed and saw him smiling at me. Wait! He is not mad at me? I looked around to see his friends and mine were shouting with a smile. Keerthi! Arjun! They're here! What's happening here? He took my hand and led me to the center of the setup, stopping in a clear spot where the flowers were decorated in a heart shaped outline. As I looked at the setup, his way of actions, and our friends, A look of shock and surprise passed over my face. The sight of these things made my heart race with excitement and wonder.
Aditya mama looked up at me, His eyes gleaming with love and devotion as he held my hand tight. He took a deep breath, gathering his courage before speaking. He held my shaking hand, Looking down into my eyes, he began his speech, his voice soft and sincere.
"Mini, From the moment you came into my world, You lit up my life with your presence, and every moment I've spent with you is precious to me. You're my light in the darkness, my source of strength, and my best friend"
He paused for a moment, a soft smile tugging at the corners of his lips. He looked deep into my eyes, his gaze filled with love and emotion. He continued speaking, his voice low and earnest.
"Over the past half year, we've been through so much together. We've laughed! We've cried! We've argued for a little and we've made up too. Through it all, I've come to realize just how much you mean to me"
He paused again, a small smile playing on our lips as he looked at me, still holding my hand tightly. He leaned closer to me, his eyes never leaving mine. His voice dropped to whisper as he spoke his words filled with tenderness and vulnerability.
"You've changed my life, Mini. You've made me a better person and You've shown me what it means to truly love and to be loved. I never want to be without you"
He paused for a moment, the anticipation and excitement palpable in the air. He knelt before me holding and caressing my hand. He took out a ring from his pocket and raised it between us.
"Mini, Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"
He asked the question, his voice filled with hope and anticipation. I could see our friends watching excitedly, eagerly awaiting my answer. My eyes were filled with tears while my lips were displaying my heart's smile.
I gathered the air, displayed my smile, and gulped hard before answering him. I can see his eyes with hope was not even blinking.
"I wanted to say this since I was eight years old. You were my crush when I even didn't hear about the word. The day I met you during our childhood, My heart beat fast. I liked you since that day. I dreamt of us having a happy life before going to sleep every day. I was upset for some time as fate played with us. I thought this all came to an end before it began. All of a sudden, I was blessed with a second chance to at least try for it. I tried and as a result, You're now before me"
Tears rolled down my cheeks like crystals, a smile took over our lips.
"I'm willing to do the honor of becoming your wife,"
As I said, and extended my hand, He slid the ring into my finger. He placed a kiss on the backside of my palm and stood up adjusting his shirt.
"Kiss uhhh... Kiss uhhhhh.... Kiss her Macha" All were shouting and cheering him to kiss me. Even Keerthi seems happier than me shouting and applauding. As he raised his eyebrow asking for permission, I nodded my head as yes. Within a second, He yanked me on his chest and his lips landed on mine. I can hear them bursting the pop shot and cheering us. With a simple kiss, his parted away from mine. As everyone was cheering and shouting, I hugged him in embarrassment, he hugged me tighter.
"It's okay Mini! No need to be embarrassed!" He caressed my head and placed a kiss.
