{Morning 7'o clock}
Greeted by the sunbeam that crept across the room like golden waves, the chirping of little birds near my window, and Listening to the rhythm of my own breath, I stretched my body and parted my heavy eyelids. It was the silence echoed in my room! I bestir out of my bed and stretched my body again while tiptoeing myself. My body aches as If I had wrestling with a bodybuilder last night. Last night? Wait! I... How did I come home? Ya.. Yamini? Where is she? Fuck! What the Fuck had happened last night? I pressed hard my head in confusion! I took my mobile and called her.

I walked towards the sound of her ringtone. I saw her sleeping on the couch in the Hall. Her hair was partially wet and it looked like she was drenched in heavy rain. Did it rain yesterday? Her face looks pale and her nose is pink. Does she catch a cold? I touched her arm to wake up and felt her burning skin. "Yamini! Wake up! You're having a fever" I told and gently patted her arm. Her sealed eyelids parted and she was unable to open her eyes. Her bloodshot eyes rolled in my direction and she uprighted her position and sat on the couch.
"What happened last night? Before answering that, Why your hair is wet and your dress damped? You're having a fever too" I quired her with a list of questions. "Mama, Yesterday you drank like a fish and dozed off in the hotel. I took you home by booking a cab" Her hoarse voice in a soft tone indicated her cold and inflamed vocal cord. "But how did you catch a cold?" I asked her as she blinked her heavy eyelids. The amount of guilt and Hangxiety I held at that time is immeasurable.
"Okay! But first, get changed. We'll go hospital" I walked to my room and opened my closet to choose an alternative dress for her to get changed. I searched Priya's shelf and found unused New T-shirts and Lowers. I took a yellow-colored oversized T-shirt and grey sweatpants. Descending the stairs, I handed her the clothes.
"These are Priya's clothes! Don't worry! These are the new ones. She never wore it once" I said to which she nodded her head. Sitting on the couch, regretting my act of being drunk and troubled her, I was mentally slipper-shotting my head. Even though she refused to come, I stood strong insisting her to come the hospital, and that changed her mind.
"Mama" I turned my head to see her still in unchanged clothes. "Didn't you change your mind to go hospital? What happened Yamini?" I quired and she was blinking her eyes struggling to say something but gulping those words. "Do we really need to go hospital? Mama, I feel better now!" And now I got her thoughts. She is afraid of injections!
"Are you still in a blue flunk about Injections? " with a little laugh, I asked her to go and change her dress. I called Deva and asked him to take my car to my home from the hotel. And now, the thoughts about yesterday night which I can't remember are spinning around my head. What would she think about me? Brushing my face with my fingers, I leaned back on the couch. "Mama, We can go!" Hearing her voice, I stood and we walked out of the house. After locking the door and main gate, I saw her waiting outside the gate. I took Appa's car out of the car shed and beckoned her to get in.
It was an awkward and silent ride. Should this continue? How to start a conversation then? I've talked to her many times. But, this is my first time afraid of beginning the conversation. I was about to open my mouth to talk when she coughed. Biting my lips in nervousness, I again opened my mouth to talk.
"Achoo" (Sniffed)
I turned my head towards the road and continued to drive. What the heck is wrong with me? You should ask Adi! You need to get to know about the incident that happened yesterday!

Shit! Enakunney varuvingla da? ( Do Y'all appear always just to test me?) I punched the steering and continued to drive. "Sollu (Say) Arjun! I think I might be late today! Save me a seat for the lecture!"
Who is Arjun? Did she get a friend so soon? As soon as she cut the call, Again I prepared myself to ask her. "Yamini?" I called her to which she hummed as "Mmm" And turned towards me. "What happened yesterday? Did I do anything dumb?" With a little hesitation on my face, I quired her.
"No mama! I was waiting for you at the hotel. They informed me about your condition in a drunken state, I took you home. To sober up you, I left you inside the bathroom to get a cold shower. But, out of balance, You pulled me and I got drenched. I didn't have an extra dress so I slept with these clothes on"
Biting my lips and chewing my inner cheek, I can't hide my embarrassment. If I was alone now, I would beat myself with a pair of slippers. "I'm sorry Yamini! I think I should control myself!" I apologized to which she nodded her head as yes.
"Not only to control! But you should change yourself, mama. I feel that this is not you! I know that you are in pain and suffering a lot. But, your parents might get hurt after knowing about your new character of consuming alcohol and smoking"
How does she know that I'm smoking? Did I even smoke before her? God! Don't make me more embarrassed before her. "I saw a cigarette box and lighter in your pocket" She added which gave me relief. We didn't talk till we reached the hospital. Sitting on the cushioned chairs in the waiting area, We were scrolling mobile. "Yamini?" The nurse called and we both stood up. She guided us toward the doctor's room.
After checking up on her, he stated that it was a normal cold. He advised her to drink warm water and take the tablets regularly. The nurse put the syringe into the opening of the bottle and pulled back to draw the medicine. I saw Yamini fisting her hand and gulping hard. "This injection should be injected in the back! You please wait outside sir" Hearing the nurse's words, I walked towards the exit. "Mama.." I stopped after hearing her voice.
"Mam, Konjam valikama potu vidunga!" (Mam, Make sure it is painless) I said and waited beside the blue screen which separates the injecting room and waiting room. She came out by rubbing her back and adjusting her pants with a pond of tears in her eyes.
"Is it paining?" I asked to which she didn't respond. "Po" (Go) She replied by tilting her head to show her anger. Behaving like a cute kindergartener. "Okay! Wait for me. I'll buy the prescribed medicines at the pharmacy there" She sat on the chair and I went to buy the medicines. Handing over the prescription, I stood there wandering my eyes around the store. Soon I heard a noise and there were people gathered at the reception hall. Yamini's voice? Aiyoo!
I ran fast and saw a man chasing her by extending his hands to touch her. What the fuck? Quickly I ran and secured her behind me. He tried to touch her by sliding his hands beside me. I caught his hand and twisted him by clutching his hand behind his back. Locked his hands with mine, Some people came and caught him. Leaving him, I turned behind to see her in a frightened state.
"Are you okay?" I side-hugged her and rubbed her arm to compose herself. She was panting. "Relax! I'm here! Calm down Yamini" I added and a nurse handed over a bottle of water. I opened it and made her drink water.
"Who is he? Why did he chase her?" I asked his family members who were standing beside and holding him. "Sorry bro! He is my father! Before 3 months, My sister died in a car accident! My father can't accept that she is no more. He was affected psychologically and now he is under treatment. The girl beside you have a similar face cut like my sister. And so, He ran towards her to hug her. Sorry bro! It was my fault!"
His reply shook me for a minute. The pain of losing someone whom we love is the worst hell for the living person. "It's okay bro! I can understand. Take care of him" I stated and took her along with me to the pharmacy. After buying the medicines, we walked towards the exit.
