When Soobin woke up the next day Yeonjun wasn't there. All of his stuff was still there but he wasn't. It was Soobin's day off and they were supposed to spend this last day together but he undeniably messed that up. He was worried and his emotions were running wild, he wish he could understand how he was feeling more and he wished they did talk sooner. They just got caught up in everything, in a happiness neither one of them had felt in a while. The things he said were still running through his mind as well. How he felt used, how he thought Soobin didn't actually care about him and just wanted him for sex, which couldn't be farther from the truth.
He laid on the couch and let out a deep sigh.
When he heard his phone ring from his room he practically fell off the couch as he ran to get it. He looked at it and was a little disappointed to see it wasn't Yeonjun calling.
"Hey Jin hyung."
"Oh...are we not on good terms. You sound like you don't want to talk to me."
Soobin covered his eyes with his under hand and started to cry.
"Jin hyung, I messed up! Everything is my fault."
"Okay I'm getting a train ticket. I'm on my way now."
"You're two hours away."
"...I know someone who can drive me. I'll be there in an hour." And then he hung up.
Soobin laid in bed hugging his pillow as he waited and about an hour later he heard someone knocking on his door. He walked over and looked through the hole to see who it was. He opened the door quickly and lunged forward, hugging Jin tightly as he cried into his shoulder.
"Okay okay shhh." He rubbed his back. "I'm here, it's alright."
They went inside and sat on the couch together. Soobin told him everything that had happened since their last phone call together, so Soobin ended up explaining everything for almost an hour. He cried remembering last night and the fact that Kangwoo had been cheating on him.
He was angry more than he was hurt. Angry that Kangwoo had wasted his time when he couldn't been with someone who actually cared.
"I don't know what to do."
Jin nodded. "Soobinnie, the way you're feeling is completely normal. It's a complicated situation, but I think...I can't tell you how to feel but I want you to ask yourself that if you had to choose. Would you stay with Kangwoo or would you take a chance with Yeonjun?"
"Yeonjun." He answered almost immediately.
Jin smiled a little. "And why?"
"Because hyung always looks out for me and helps me around the apartment and he takes me to dinner and he protects me and cares about what I think and say. He listens and he doesn't criticize me or make me feel like I shouldn't feel the way that I do when I'm going through something. He spends a lot of time with me and I really cherish our time together."
"Soobin. Do you like him?"
The never ending tears seemed to fall even more as he nodded and started to sob all over again.
He was scared, afraid of liking someone else. Kangwoo was familiar, he didn't have friends before Yeonjun. He only had Kangwoo, all he knows is someone who constantly disrespects him and treats him like a child. What if him and Yeonjun didn't work out and their friendship fell apart? What if Yeonjun didn't even want him anymore after last night?
"It's okay Soobin." Jin hugged him again and rubbed his back. "Relationships are hard I know. When Yeonjun gets back, be truthful and let go of all that fear and talk to him. Tell him exactly how you feel."
