Soobin and Kangwoo came back home that night. Yeonjun was clearly waiting up for them to get back. Soobin looked at him and then looked away before quietly going to his room, Kangwoo was going to go in after him but Soobin stopped him."Sleep on the couch." He slammed the door and locked it.
Kangwoo stared blankly at it before looking at Yeonjun who was laughing.
"I wouldn't be laughing if I were you. Seeing how Soobin knows about your ex and why you went to jail."
Yeonjun's heart sank as he stared at him.
"Now get the fuck off my bed." He said as he sat down on the couch. Yeonjun stood up and went to his room calling Soobin's cellphone but he didn't answer.
He tried three more times until it started going straight to voicemail. He turned his phone off. Yeonjun could feel himself getting angry but he laid in bed and knew he could fix it in the morning when they have breakfast together.
When the next day came he woke up and stepped out of his room. Kangwoo was out on the balcony and Soobin was gone. He took his phone out and called him and again it went straight to voicemail.
He opened the door to the balcony and shoved Kangwoo.
"What did you do?" He grabbed him by the shirt and threw him inside on the floor. "Don't lie to me!"
Kangwoo cursed. "Fuck you! What the hell do you think you're–" Yeonjun kicked him in the stomach and got on top of him before he started punching him.
He was seeing red and once he started he couldn't stop. Kangwoo struggled to breathe as he choked on his on blood from his now broken nose. Yeonjun didn't even hear the front door opened and Soobin scream.
He ran over and pushed Yeonjun off of him.
Soobin stared down at Kangwoo's unmoving body. He was a bad person and he should've been happy but he wasn't moving.
"Kangwoo?" He fell to his knees and shook him. "Kangwoo?"
He looked at Yeonjun who was just staring down at Kangwoo, almost shocked at his own actions.
"...we can't take him to the hospital. They'll throw me back in jail for assault." He took his phone out and called a friend. "...I need your help. I fucked up."
They waited and Soobin tried cleaning up the blood in the meantime. Neither one of them said a word to the other. They heard a knock at the door and Yeonjun quickly stood and saw a young guy with curly brown hair.
He smiled as he stepped inside.
"Thanks for coming Hueningkai."
"It's good to see you." He said with a light blush. He walked over to the guy and sucked his teeth. "You're still the same I see." He sat on the floor and opened the bag he brought with him.
Soobin stared at this stranger and it annoyed him that this Hueningkai person didn't acknowledge him. This was his apartment after all.
He checked his eyes, nose, and mouth.
"He's not dead. Just busted." He cleaned up his wounds and bandaged him up. "There, he's gonna need ice for the swelling."
Hueningkai looked at Yeonjun who was still just staring down at Kangwoo.
"What was the reason this time?" He asked.
Yeonjun lifted his head to look at him. "...he was pissing me off."
"That's no reason to get like that." He walked over to him and touched his shoulder. "Do you wanna talk?"
Yeonjun looked at him and then his eyes lifted a little more to see Soobin standing a little way behind Hueningkai, glaring at the two of them.
"Umm...no, no I'm fine. Thanks for coming."
"I'll always come if you need me." He hugged him. "It's nice seeing you, you never answer my calls anymore."
He didn't hug him back. "...I'm busy."
"Busy doing what?"
"Yeonjun is this your ex?" Soobin suddenly asked.
Yeonjun shook his head and stepped away from him.
"What? No no–"
"I am." Hueningkai looked at him. "Is that an issue?"
"Not at all." Soobin smiled at him. "Just curious."
Yeonjun tried to defend himself. "Soobin it's not–"
"Are you and hyung dating? I would hope not, don't you know a dog always finds his way back home."
Soobin became flustered and Yeonjun quickly walked Hueningkai to the door forcing him to leave. As soon as the door shut he went to Soobin who was already in his room packing a bag.
"Soobin please wait!" He kept packing and then he grabbed his hands. "Stop please?" He looked like he was on the brink of tears. "I swear it's not what you think I swear Soobin."
"Kangwoo told me you always go back to him! He told me you slept with him! Have you been lying to me? Has all of this been some game to you?"
"NO!" He stepped back and ran his fingers through his hair. "No I could never do that to you! That night...that night I heard the two of you I was so angry that I went out and I got drunk and yes, I called him. He picked me up and I...I was worried that I did do something but he told me nothing happened and that I just talked about you the entire time and it pissed him off."
He sat on the bed and let out a deep sigh as Soobin stared at him.
"I don't blame you for doubting me. I haven't been opened and that's because I'm scared. I like you...so much. More than I've liked anyone else, I've made mistakes, I have a record, I'm not someone you bring home to your parents. I've been betrayed by people before and I wouldn't do that to you I swear it Soobin. Please don't give up on me, I need you."
Soobin hugged him without hesitation and he cried gently in his arms. He ran his fingers through Yeonjun's hair and for a while they said nothing.
And they didn't feel the need to.
