"are you sure its okay for you to be up here? shouldn't you be down there with Sierra?"

"no, shes off with Cat. She thinks im sleeping peacefully in the sun."

Mason coughed again interrupting the silence, sunny frown down at him. It was one thing to have a cough, but it wasn't just a normal cough. It was like a "im sick, call 911 because i cant wait till the doctors appointment on Wednesday".

"Mason, you okay baby?"

"im fine mommy really. just...hold me."

He smiled innocently and sniffled as he lay his head in sunnys lap, for the cold ground it was actually pretty comfortable. She was guessing it was because of the plushy grass and because it was heaven, everything was supposed to be soft in heaven. Her right hand rest gently on his head while her right was being held by his against his chest, his heart was beating really fast which didn't seem right either but she let it go, maybe he was just excited to see her or something. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath and when she opened her eyes she was once again back on living earth, the sun felt warm against her tan skin as she lie back on a beach towel. Sierra still wasn't back, her and cat left to go flirt and make out, the two hit it off really well. It wasn't that she was upset that she and cat had a thing, she was just kinda bummed that she was now going to be a third wheel but she pushed the thought to the back of her mind. Cat was good, he was a good guy and within the first two minutes of them talking he had her hot and blushing.

"guess its just me and you Mas."

Mas, short for Mason of course. She close her eyes once again and take in a deep breath feeling a slightly sharp pain in her ribs. She didn't pay much attention to that either though, Sierra said they were growing pains from her body stretching and the baby growing. She place a hand to her tummy not expecting to feel anything because the baby was only three weeks old so it wasn't much but a speck in her uterus.

"hey"

She sat up to see a young girl, maybe around 9, standing tall in front of her. she was tall for his age, light skin and had a girly charm to her. she had thick brows and looked oddly familiar as if she had known her in a different life, or as if she had seen her before

"hi."

"Are you okay?"

She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. Why wouldn't she be okay?

"yes. do i look like somethings not okay?"

"no, you look pretty. your just by yourself, can i sit with you?"

she pointed to the bright pink beach towel next to her, it was sierras spot but sierra wasn't here so she didn't see why not.

"what about your-"

"my parents died, they died in a car crash when i was four. i don't really remember it but im here with my foster parents, there drunk so i walked off. Can i sit? you seem nice."

"um, yeah sure."

She sat up straight as she plopped down in the sand next to her, she smelled like green apples which happened to be sunnys favorite fruit. As much as she loved grapes, there was nothing like a fresh green apple

"So, what is your name?"

"my name is Elizabeth Innsbrook. But i like to go by Izzy."

"that's a pretty name. My name is Sunny, but i would much rather be an Izzy."

Sunny smile as the young girl flash her deep dimples, a cute girly smile. Her hair was pulled back into a sleek bun and she wear a dress, it went down to her shins and the sleeves went down to her elbows. Her shoes were cute but very dressy as she wear white socks that go above her ankles, around the rim opening of the sock was frilly lace, her shoes consisted of a shiny black pair of flats. She looked like she was going to church, not to the beach

"aren't you hot in that?"

"no, im used to it. George and Tina make us wear this, they say its what good children wear. Riley and Connor have to wear button down shirts and dress pants."

"George and Tina?"

"foster parents. They hate us, us as in Me, Riley and Connor. There my two brothers, they bring us to places and just let us run wild while they get drunk. They are not good parents at all, but there only temporary."

"until?"

"until someone adopts us and takes us in, until some one wants to be our family."

She draw pictures in the small area of sand between her and sunnys towels, she look down at the photos then back up at the girl. It was oddly comforting to have a young child around, most likely because she was pregnant and would be having her own child.

"how old is your baby?.. sorry that was mean, Tina says its not nice to talk about peoples pregnancy because you never know if there pregnant, they could just be larger. Not saying that your large, i just know things."

She laugh and look down towards her belly for a slight second then back up at Izzy.

"He's only three weeks old. I got a long way to go."

"how do you know its a he? i know its a he, i can tell. But how do you know?"

"What about you?...how do you know is the real question."

"I was gifted, god gave me these cool super powers, i can talk to animals and i have like X ray Vision with pregnant women, that's probably why we have gone through so many foster parents. They think im weird and not ordinary, but i don't want to be ordinary. My mommy always said that it was good to be different."

Sunny smiled at how cute she was, it was a shame that she didn't have a family because she deserved the world. She was open and bright, she had deep imagination and was characteristic, sunny saw alot of her in this little girl, especially due to the fact that she was growing up in the child care system, just like sunny.

"god gave you these powers, huh?"

"yeah, not to long ago actually. I've had them for maybe about a month officially, but i knew all along that i had them, mainly because i can see right through the tummies of women and my rabbit, Fletcher, is my best friend."

"so you met god?"

"yep, hes a really nice man. you probably don't believe me."

"i believe you."

She looked up, brightness was in her eyes and so was hope. For once in her life someone believed her and sunny felt the same way about Rex. Nobody believed her or heard what she had to say until she met Rex, and damn it felt good to have somebody you could confide in. Especially if you grew up not trusting anybody.

"you do?"

"of course i do, i haven't met god but i go to heaven all the time. I talk to my father up there, and i talk to my future son Mason."

She knew she shouldn't tell her all of this but she thought it would be a little better if the girl didn't feel so alone in the world, she thought that maybe the girl would feel better if sunny acted as if she were her Rex. Even though she didn't know her, and probably wouldn't ever see her again, at least she had today.

"no way! me too, i see my mommy and my daddy up in heaven. I see them all the time, i saw them before i went to the beach and they said to look for you. When i found you i got so happy and that's why i came up to you."

She furrowed her eyebrows, why on earth would her parents tell her to look for her? Did she know her parents maybe? god only knows, literally.

"your parents told you to look for me?"

"yes, they said that you were a good candidate, whatever that means. I know the word though, because every time that the foster people find people who are looking to adopt three kids they say"

she adjusted her voice, trying her hardest to sound like a grown man

"oh there good candidates, maybe we can finally get these kids out of here."

Sunny smile at her enthusiasm

"and then after that they call the people to set up a meeting, then they come meet us and never call back. I don't know why."

"so your parents think im a good candidate?..."

"that's what mommy says, she says your nice and loving and your great with kids. And she says that is why your a good candidate."
