"Whats wrong? Shouldn't you be at the hospital with sunny?"
The hospital decided to keep her for a week more because she wouldn't stop crying, and they were worried she would become suicidal. Not to mention all the times they walked in and she would be knocked out cold, barely breathing. According to the doctors, they had to drug her and put her to sleep to make her stop crying, Aubrey couldn't help but feel like that was his fault
"she doesn't want to see me."
"why?"
He swallowed at the lump that had been placed in his throat since he left the hospital. He fucked up and he knew it, but he just thought that since she was okay with the fact that mason died, maybe it was okay for him to speak his mind on Mason. He loved him, it was god given fact that he loved him because that was his son. He just wasn't really ready
"i told Sunny that mason was a mistake so maybe it was a good thing she had a miscarriage."
Oliver's mouth dropped down to the floor, as much as he hated her being pregnant and constantly eating, he would never want her to not be pregnant. He regained function of his jaw and closed his mouth, but only to open it again so he could speak
"i don't blame her, your a total dick."
He lowered his gaze because he knew Oliver was right, Oliver was always right. But right now in this moment, he was really right. At the moment he should be at the hospital with her, comforting her, holding her and showering her with kisses but instead his sitting in the studio with a hookah pipe.
"i don't know what to do...I messed up bad."
"yeah no shit. Its bad enough if you tell her that not having a kid is good, but saying the miscarriage was for the good...you fucked up big time."
As much as he hated it, Oliver was right once again. He didn't know what to do or how to overcome this but come hell or high water he was going too. He didn't want her sitting in the hospital room by herself, even though she had sierra. She needed affectionate love that sierra couldn't give her, only Aubrey could give her.
"So, what happened to those kids that were running around here? before all of this."
"Back at the foster home."
"so there up for adoption?"
"yeah, and they need a home bad. Really bad to be in fact. Sunny says there being abused and that there gifted or something like that i don't know."
"seems like shes fond of them.... you guys gonna adopt them?"
He was quiet. Sunny said she wanted them, she said she wanted them badly and that they were special to her even though she hadn't even known them a whole week. She said Izzy was special to her because she reminded her a lot of herself from when she was younger, she said the boys were great company too, and with there witty ways, they were hilarious. He smile to himself thinking about them because as much as he didn't want too, he felt like he had no choice but to say that he loved them. Or had some type of lovable feeling towards them
"im gonna take that silence as a no, but sunny really wants to and i don't know what to do."
Aubrey smiled half way and nodded his head yes before placing the hookah pipe back in between his lips. Oliver took in a deep breath before standing up from the white interior couch, that couch was what started it all. The couch where Aubrey and sunny got intimate for the first time, the couch where her relationship with meek was ruined but it only made there relationship grow stronger. The couch where it all started
"well, all i can say is there great kids. Sunny is right, they do deserve good homes and they seem pretty attached to you guys. You fucked up once.....it would suck if you fucked up again."
With that he left the studio, leaving Aubrey to think for a good ten minutes before he actually got up to leave himself. The foster home that the kids stayed in was much nicer then sunnys, according to her of course. She said most of her childhood she didn't have a bed to sleep on, and for these kids to not only have a bed but there own rooms was pretty cool. He didn't trust Tina, he didn't trust George either and there was something leery about the residence today. Something wasn't right and he could tell when he pulled into the driveway.
"oh...Drake..hello."
"Hi, are the kids busy? i wanted to come see them."
"no, we just finished lunch actually. The boys are napping though, but you can visit Izzy."
He stepped inside, the house was warm, maybe even a little hot. But that may be because he was used to the YOLO estate constantly blasting AC, it was a large house so in order to keep it cool the AC had to be on 24/7.
"last door on the left, the one with the yellow flower on the door."
"thank you."
He walked down the hall, baby picture of the kids plastered across the walls. They looked cuter then ever of course, he heard a slight whimper as he knocked on the door and a soft voice to follow
"come in."
He opened the door and peered around the corner at Izzy, she had tear stains down her cheeks indicating she had been crying. Her eyes widened with happiness as she saw Aubrey walk in
"Aubrey...hi...not to be rude but why are you here?"
"i came to visit... hey, whats wrong? why are you crying? what happened to your face."
She flinched as he put a hand to her cheek, he brushed his thumb softly against her cheekbone that had a pretty bad bruise to it. Another tear fell causing Aubrey to pull her into a hug, he wrapped his arms around her as she snuggle her face into his neck, just like sunny does he thought as he rubbed her back gently
"whats the matter baby girl?"
"there just so bad, i can handle it but Connor and Riley don't know any different. They think everybody is like this and its normal."
"what do you mean?"
She pulled away and looked into his eyes while hers only filled with more tears
"they hurt us Aubrey...they hurt us bad."
