Scarlet's POV
I'm lying in bed completely knocked out, when my sleep is interrupted by the sound of my phone's alarm.
It blares through my eardrums, into my head.
I groan and then sit up, sleepily, turning it off.
As I get up out of my bed, I crack my neck and stretch as I slept pretty rough last night.
Getting different clothes on, I go to the bathroom and check myself in the mirror.
I look standard enough so I just brush my teeth and throw a little water on my face.
My room is a mess but not as much as Xander's so it's okay.
Speaking of Xander, I go over to his room to see what he's doing because I'm curious.
As I'm about to knock on his door, I lean in and I hear him talking.
"Good morning Sunshine...how'd you sleep?...you are a Princess...Did you miss me?... Aww...Of course, I missed you...can't wait to see you today..."
The moment I hear these words coming out of his mouth, I cover my mouth, because I know I'm going to laugh so hard. It's the fact that I've never heard him talk to a girl like that before and he's making his voice sound so husky like he's cool or something.
Of course, I know he's on the phone with Lillian so I decided to have a little fun.
"Aww so sweet, someone's talking to his pookie wookie," I say, pushing the door open slowly, and before I can even finish the sentence, Xander jumps up in his computer chair, almost dropping the phone and he looks at me with surprise in his eyes.
"Dammit Scar, what the hell! Get the hell outta here!" He says, hissing through his teeth.
"Alright alright, just tellin' ya you need to take your underwear outta the washing machine, it's been in there for days," I announced and he covered the phone with his hand, getting up and slamming the door in my face.
I laughed to myself and walked off, thinking about making some breakfast but then soon, I walked passed my father's room, whom I hadn't seen in days.
I stopped and looked at his door. Slowly I reached my hand up prepared to knock. I hesitated for a second, but then I finally did it and knocked on his door.
There was no answer of course, so I opened it and walked in slightly.
Immediately I was hit with the smell of booze and cigarette smoke.
"Dad..?" I said, looking towards his bed.
He was leaning off his bed, a five o'clock shadow on his face, dark circles around his eyes, and a 1 Liter bottle of Liquor hanging from his hand.
I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"Hey Dad...?" I said a little louder.
There was still no response.
"Dad!" I said as loud as I can.
He shook a little under his blankets, in his bed and groaned. One of his eyes opened, and he turned to look at me.
"I'm uh...gonna make breakfast...you...you want some?" I said with a small smile, hope in my voice.
He paused for a second, looked around, and rubbed his face.
"Yeah...yeah, I soon come out...in a minute." He said, groaning some more.
I nodded, looking down, and sighed a little bit.
